Everything was set for the second-ever tournament to take place in Canada, home of the 2009 Silver Medal-winning Canadian squad. Unfortunately, Football Canada has withdrawn sponsorship less than a year until the tournament is scheduled to kick off, citing unspecified "risks." This same group took out a large loan to ensure that a men's tournament went off without a hitch to avoid sanctions from the IFAF.
Stupid idiots. I hope something can be worked out before then.
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
