It took a LOT of bad pub to get a British bookmaker to fork over the £1K they owed a grandmother, who placed a £5 bet on her grandson to medal at the Olympics, which he did (bronze) at 200-to-1 odds in the gymnastics competition. The wager was placed in honor of her husbands, who was a betting man. They tried to welch out of it because said medal was a team medal vice indivdual. The problem with their argument is that nowhere on her ticket was there ANY language making that restriction.
After a LOT of bad pub in the press, they FINALLY caved. How stupid can you be?!?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
