Quote:
Griffin's torn ACL was diagnosed late Tuesday as a complete tear of the patella graft that was used to repair his torn ACL suffered at Baylor in 2009. A team source told ESPN Tuesday that Andrews was likely to use a patella graft from Griffin's left knee to repair the most recent tear.

he says he will be back for training camp. We shall see.

Short NFL career either way. RGIII is basically a RB, and they average 5-year careers.

Based on where modern techniques are I would be shocked if he goes bust because of his knee coming off of surgery.

Heck, a good chunk of sports fans know just as much about the knee at this point as medical personnel 30-40 years ago.

Extent of injury, rehab time. He will attempt a comeback in a year or two, but will be a shell of himself.

I wouldn't count on him in 2013.
Same field....

Completely torn ACL and MCL..complete knee reconstruction....

9 months later he stepped on the field and ran for 2,097 yards in 16 games

And everyone was stunned.

It could happen. And he could get hurt again first game back.

He should be fine. NFL players come back from injuries like this every year.

I expect him to continue to get hurt however. He will be like Vick in the sense that he will never be able to complete a season.

And someone who had never been hurt could break their neck.

With where orthopedics is at these days I'll be more shocked if he can't come back than if he does

Well, they didn't exactly fire him, but he's gone anyway. ESPN merely chose not to renew his contract, which expired 31 DEC. Some would say that amounts to the same thing given that he's gone, but I think they did him a favor as he doesn't technically have to add a termination to his resume.

Umm yeah, but Adrian Peterson is a rare physical specimen. RG3 isn't. They're both great athletes, but AD has a freaky kind of body.
