Well, I did see an article today about a pair of Idaho girls who were banned from their 5th/6th grade football team by Parks & Rec rules (their coach was informed by a rude P&R director) despite the fact that their league allowed female players. The public outcry prompted a policy reversal.
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
