Garnett could miss playoffs.

Post by BlueHen86 »

ESPN is reporting that the Celtics' Kevin Garnett could miss the playoffs because of the right knee injury that has sidelined him for the last few weeks.

Projo has an article saying it looks likely he will miss the whole thing. Not good.

It was going to be tough to repeat even with him... Cleveland is pretty damn good. Its still possible though so I wont give up on it.

Do the next 6 weeks of pro hoops matter, it just puts off the inevitable, Kobe's Lakers beating the Cavs.

at least it takes the NBA about a month to get through the first round. If the Celtics go 7 it might be almost enough time for him to play.

one of the few smart things I've ever read from Bill Simmons ever.

on KG

"I spent 13 solid years playing 1,100-plus games and 40 minutes a night at an intensity normally reserved for mothers trying to rescue their children who are trapped under a truck."... There is nothing structurally wrong with him. It's wear and tear ... and age and miles.

Yup. Although hoping for a Cavs win.

ya but if the Celts need 7 to get past the Bulls it means there issues go deeper then missing Garnett

I don't know about that. Didn't the Celtics go 7 with everyone last year, except the Lakers?

Close. They won the Eastern Conf. final over Detroit in 6 games. Their first two playoff series went 7 games.

plus I think they match up really well with Orlando if they get by Chicago. I think Chicago could be 7 and Orlando be a 6 game series. Of course they will go down to Cleveland, even if they had KG I think, but I think they still have a 95% chance to get to Cleveland.

Seems to be a lot of speculation that Boston will get out of the first round.
