I sit in the heart of Cubbie territory - the local sports talk station is pretty much all Cubs, even though they are a Twins affiliate and the Twins have a single A club in town. If the Cubs don't win the WS by 2017 there will be a mass suicide.
Seriously, all I saw for about 3 weeks was "JAVY BAEZ THIS AND THAT" on twitter and facebook, especially when he got called up and his first series was in Colorado and he took advantage of it. The talk on him as suddenly disappeared, especially now that he's hitting .220 with 22 stirke outs and just 2 walks in 55 ABs

Now, if that talent translates in another thing.

Sczcur is definitely not going to be their savior. By most accounts, he's an average hitter at best but solid in the field and on the base path. Hopefully he sticks around.

He was worn out from running up and down the field in Boone the previous weekend.
I'm pretty sure our SS Matt Johnson wore him out with a couple big hits... which again, is why he now plays baseball.
He was hurt, you remember correctly. QB Whitney was hobbled as well. And the Cats turned the ball over 6 times I think. Even so, EWU played a good game and was a deserving Champ.
Don't think your SS had anything to do with his decision though.
