They have won 2 Super Bowls in this century, and they had a lot of national Ray Lewis fans. This list is focused on recent history. Their popularity is probably on the downside right now though, compared to a couple years ago.

Cowboys have always claimed to be America's Team. All the rest have been in or won Super Bowls in the last 10 years. I was at the last Super Bowl Washington was in, 1992. Dallas has won 3 since, Saints won, Colts Won, Bears lost in 07.

Claiming the Ravens are a national team is farcical. I attended a Ravens at Chargers game in San Diego in the late 90s and there were essentially no Ravens fans there. I attended Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles games in California and there was a boisterous minority of Philly fans at every game. The Eagles have a far larger national following than the Ravens do.

I agree, the Eagles have a larger national following than the Ravens, but the Ravens have won a couple Lombardi's since you went to the game, and Ray Lewis has rubbed out a few more people.
