Fall Experimental Football League

From AGS post with same central title:

Anyone seen these guys trying to start the NFL minor league?

Could be an interesting development as they have no desire to compete with the NFL, just to become the official NFL minor league and act as a developmental league for players and coaches. They just signed a deal with ESPN3 to stream the games, which is decent, but not spectacular.

They're starting off with four teams: Boston Brawlers (playing in Harvard Stadium), Brooklyn Bolts (MCU Park), Blacktips (originally the Florida Blacktips, but couldn't sign a stadium deal, so they dropped the "Florida" and will play road games only), and Omaha Mammoths (TD Ameritrade Park).

Portland, Oregon and Austin, Texas were to have teams originally but won't start play in the 2014 inaugural season.

My impression: Let's just hope that it won't be another failed experiment for an alternative professional football league.

But the potential is just there, waiting for a feasible experiment to come.
All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.
