I guess that team that fought off the two-woman power play for three minutes to win their first game in four years wasn't the only oddity in HS girls hoops this week.
In a game between Mercer (PA) HS and Edinborogh (PA)-General McLane HS at a Hermitage(PA)-Hickory HS Christmas tournament, Kelsey Swartz's second free throw knocked the rim off its moorings, forcing a 45-minute delay in the action. I haven't even seen that happen with one of Klanq Fu's monster dunks.

Rim Falls Off
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
