Those were some pretty sweet games yesterday for hockey fans. Must wins (duh) for Philly and Chicago. Should be two awesome game 7's!

For the last six weeks of the regular season and the first five games of this series, the lack of a decent power play and the goaltending were pretty serious question marks. With the addition of Pronger from injury and the mid-series improvement of Boucher, it would appear that the ship has been righted.

I was hoping Bob would make a name for himself this playoff season (and who knows, he might still), but I think Boucher is going to be on top of his game now after those couple of embarrassing early goals in game 5. Having Pronger back speaks for itself.

So, the Caps and Flyers (yeah - gotta get through another period) await two seven game series winners from the 3 and 4 seed games. Love playoff hockey!

Dude was chirping non-stop the last two days.

The dude stole two of the games for Buffalo. It's a sad ending to the year for him. Oh well, there has to be another winter olympics coming up soon, right?

BTW, Canadiens win game 6 and force the third game 7 in the East. Go figure... the West was much tighter, yet only one game 7.

This is finally some redemption for that 8-0 final game against Buffalo in the 2001 playoffs. My best man (a Buffalo native) and his brother were at HSBC and called me with the horn blaring after every single fucking goal. I stopped answering after the fourth one I think. I would have returned the favor if he wasn't now in Stuttgart. Email will have to suffice.

God, would love to have been at the WFC tonight. Most fun I've ever had at a Flyers game was a Rangers playoff game in maybe 86 or 87... something to the tune of 7-3 Flyers. Was a circus.
