One of these things is not like the other.
12. Kyle Larson (377 pts, 0 wins (rookie).
16. Austin Dillon 358 points (rookie)
28. Danica Patrick 239
29. Justin Allgaier 223 (rookie)

Yep. Switched Dillon for Stenhouse due to my mistake. Your point remains.

Matter of fact, if you exclude the 6 rookies from among those in the top 35 who have been in all 13 races, she is 26th of 29, ahead of only the 2 Davids (Regan and Gilliland) from Front Row MotorSports, and Reed Sorenson, from Tommy Baldwin racing, 2 low budget teams. She has superior equipment to either of those guys, along with at least a 1/2 doz guys in front of her in the standings.

Someone ran her car into the wall... yes. Unfortunately for her team, it was her.

Actually, there is some technical difficulty as each turn has a different radius and banking and it's the only 2+ mile non-road course that requires shifting at speed.

That's even worse than the 50-60% empty at most other tracks.

I'm guessing that's turn 2 leading to the backstretch, which would be sparsely filled even at recent Indy 500s, but it still looks bad for sure.

The good thing about the johnny come lately mid 90s fans going back to whatever they did before is that it is making for a much more pleasant raceday experience for the real fans who stayed. The drivers are far more accessible again, prices are more reasonable, getting in and out is a breeze. I love it.

I've seen Dover go from 22K to 150+K back to about 50-75K on raceday. 150K was Woodstockish.

I don't know what corner that is, i took it from Twitter.

Honestly every part of the track, except the lower section of the front stretch was like that

I went last year. Was a boring race. Watching on TV this yr- a boring race. Most famous racetrack in the world, but boring to watch Sprint on.

I could go to Pocono tomorrow (1.5+ hr drive from me), another 2 1/2 miles track (al beit a totally different track layout) but the best seat will be in front of my 50 inch HD.

I think that is usually the case. Dover is a good track to watch in person, you can see the whole track. I'd also like to see a race in Bristol, but all-in-all, I prefer watching at home.

Yeah. Depends on the track. Usually proportional to size. All short tracks are better in person. Daytona is terrible in person. Pocono is terrible in person. I've heard Indy is worst of all because they built stands on the infield.

Interesting how the most popular driver starts winning when NASCAR's ratings and attendance are in decline.

Yeah, funny thing is though, the decline started over ten years ago. Why didn't they rig it so he'd win eight championships by now? Or even one?

And of course, three wins does not even equal his best win total for a season. In fact, it's only half.

Myth BUSTED.

I could have gone to the June Pocono race, but I knew from experience that its not a great track to watch a race at, which is a sentiment shared by many, plus it wasn't one of Jr's better tracks- he'd never won there before. Well, he goes out and wins it.

Same thing today. Could have gone, but didn't. And Jr wins it again, and it was an exciting race on TV at least.

Damn it, should have gone.. :wall:
