28-3 halfway through the 3rd quarter and you lose the game..?
Statistically speaking that is astoundingly unlikely

0-93
NFL comebacks from 17 points down
in the 3rd quarter in the playoffs

Now 93-1

Jeezus Atlanta... WTF

Even though it was an overtime game, it wasn't a great game to watch. It was a story of 2 blowouts. Atlanta blew out New England in the first half and New England blew out Atlanta in the second half.

You're down 28-9 going into the 4th and suddenly your team wakes up? Wow. It was an impressive 4th quarter rally by the Patriots. I was happy to see the Pats struggle but it would've been nice for the Falcons to have won it. Good job by both teams.

Apologies. I was a little drunk when I typed that out. It was kinda harsh. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. :)

With that said. The Falcons are young and bring virtually everyone back next season. I doubt it, but maybe this epic embarrassment will wake them up.

No worries. I was actually having similar thoughts that this could be a very good team for a very long time. :thumb:

Exactly, Atlanta shoulda made the kill shot.

It's been their MO all year. Run up the score early, take their foot off the gas and try to coast to the finish line.

You mean the system QB whose supporting cast did very well with Jimmy Garappolo.
