Sixers would've been better to draw the Bucks in the first round, but I'd rather play the Heat than play the Wizards or the Pacers so I'll take it. People making a big deal about the Sixers being young for the playoffs, but guys like Redick, Bellinelli, Illyasova, and Amir Johnson have been around the block before so this isn't brand new for them. And I like the people that say Simmons isn't a rookie, but now say that he is a rookie when it comes to the playoffs. He's just an old soul. Hopefully Embiid can be back by Game 3 - Sixers will lose a game or two in this series, but I like the way they are playing and see the Sixers in 5 or 6 games.

I've been a "Process" fan for years now, it's fun to watch it hit pay dirt like it has this year. Good times. :thumb:

Bombs away. 18 three pointers (64.3%). Sixers dominate the Heat in the opener.

Never was going to be a sweep. On the bright side, Sixers couldn't shoot any worse than they did yesterday (19% from three, just 41% from the field) and the Sixers still almost pulled it out in the end. Last night showed people who thought Embiid wasn't necessary to win how important he is. When the outside shooters go cold, you still need to keep scoring, and Embiid provides that. Still had plenty of open looks so those shots will fall, and Embiid sounds like he wants to be on the floor for Game 3. Doesn't matter how many games it takes, as long as you win 4 games before they do. Sixers will be fine. Trust the Process.

Crucial win for the Sixers tonight. Good to see Embiid back, foggy goggles and all. He took over the game when it mattered in the 4th Q.

The Process, just might be the favorites in the east right now. Philly looks good, maybe not good enough to beat a healthy Golden State, but they could beat Houston.

Sixers just keep looking better and better. Simmons and Embiid are generational type talents - it's like having Magic Johnson and Wilt Chamberlain on the same team at the very start of their careers. That's the Process. Hinkie was a mad genius. I wouldn't underestimate the job Brown is doing in coaching this group, too. There's evidently a great team culture - these guys look like they love playing together - and Brown even does a good job of finding the bench guys who can contribute - Anderson and TJ had pretty sizeable impacts on the game last night with just a little bit of playing time. And frankly, the Sixers are fun to watch - they move the ball better than any other team in the NBA right now. No step in the playoffs is easy - when they dispense with the Heat the Celtics aren't going to just lay down, and then playing the Cavs or the Raptors (without home court against the Raptors) is going to be a big step up on play. But what you like about the Sixers right now is that they look eager to keep taking that next step.

Now that the Sixers have built their roster, I fully support the NBA's anti-tanking efforts.

It really compromises the integrity of the game and should be stopped immediately.

Stephen A. Smith really went off on “the Process” today, and anyone who supports it. Then a Philly guy called in and laughed at him. Smith went berserk. Epic radio!

Might want to give it a few years before making the Magic/Wilt comparison. Good team though.

Anything that led up to us getting to have the team we have right now - with Simmons, Embiid, Saric, even Fultz, the Lakers #1 pick in the coming draft, and all the other guys they have stashed either overseas or in the G League - is a perfectly fine with me. Anyone who says that losing on purpose for 3.5 years and then getting to have this team wasn't worth it is just crazy. The Process worked. Hinkie is a genius. :thumb:

I refused to spend good money to watch the team while it was tanking. And I didn’t buy tickets for myself this season, although I did shell out a good chunk of change to buy near-courtside seats for our son and daughter-in-law for a Christmas present. I’m just not into pro hoops.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like I was down there a lot when they were losing. I think I went once as a Christmas present to the kids and we actually got lucky and ended up seeing a victory. But I was fine with that - they were honest about what they were doing (i.e. losing), they did it well (they lost a lot), and they got lucky enough at the draft to get who they got (Simmons, Embiid, Saric, and Fultz - maybe Fultz). Everyone knew what they were doing so if you wanted to pay for it you did, if you didn't then you didn't. And where we are now is infinitely better than we would have been had we not done the Process.

When Embiid bench presses 500 pounds, you can call him Wilt Chamberlain. He's good, but not Wilt.
