Patrick Corbin came damn close to a no-hitter last night in Phoenix. Only a check-swing blooper in the 8th was allowed. Would have been great to witness a no-hitter in person.
The biggest home field advantage in all of baseball has to the be the Nats at Citi Field in NY. Now 51-19 since 2011. That's pace for a 118 win season.

Nats barely hanging on to closing distance, glad they avoided the sweep. Missing Murphy for the whole season, Eaton for two-thirds of the season, Rendon for half the season...

BTW, Dbacks uniforms are absolutely dreadful.
Rockies, pitching better than expected, but the hitting sucks. 1run in 3 games vs Marlins, it was driven in by pitcher, but they won it.

Agreed on the uniforms. Can’t stand this rotation of different uniforms every single day. I am old school, and love the simplicity of the Dodgers, Cubs, Yankees, Giants, etc. I HATE the 78 different uniform combinations.

Twins starting pitcher selects uniform color each day.

The Diamondbacks actually have a lot of good looks uniform-wise, but they have some duds as well. When they go with the dark red/crimson/whatever shade that is and they go with those dark gray pants it just looks dreadful. But I guess when you have 78 combinations you're bound to have a dud here and there.

I absolutely hated that purple and teal combo that several new teams in the 90's adopted, but at least they had an identity. I honestly have no idea what color the Dbacks are supposed to be now. Red, black, grey, gold, teal, purple...
Diamondbacks are mostly done with a total of nine games against last years WS teams (2-2 vs Dodgers, 2-1 vs Astros, play two at Dodgers Tuesday/Wednesday) - no team had ever played consecutive series against the defending champions from both Leagues before

Schedule definitely gets easier from here. LA/Washington/Milwaukee/Cincinnati/Miami...
Big PLUS: Kershaw just went on the DL, so he won't pitch in this series...

You wish you could play the Dodgers more. They're a hot mess.
