I have to work 2nd shift tonight, so I'll go with "The Freak" and the Gaints defeating the Phils tonight 4-3.

I sure hope the Phils don't lose to a pre-teen girl, but I must admit that she's a damn good pitcher.

It sucks when you know you have an early morning but you make a command decision to just be tired the next day and your team blows it anyway. Manuel really made some questionable decisions last night. I've tried to defend him, and it's pretty easy when you have 97 wins, a couple trips to the WS and a ring, but last night was pretty inexcusable. Not having Rollins just bunt Werth over in whatever late inning that was with no outs was a real head scratcher.
Agree on not bunting. Also bad was using Oswalt. It was his throw day, but he already threw earlier in the day. It was dumb to have him throw early if they thought they might use him late.

Enough of J-Roll not bunting or moving the runner in the 8th. Francisco & Ruiz still would've looked silly trying to hit a slider & the run still doesn't score.

Wow. Hopefully someone can help Utley get his head out of his ass before this series ends. Just dreadful. :ohno:

It's bad enough the Phils can't hit, but I never thought I'd see such bad defense from them.

Lincecum has to feel good that the umpire is giving him the outside corner.

Ryan Howard has to stop swinging fastball. That was a big run that he just left on 3rd base.

We don't know that. One out and a runner on third changes the way you hit, and pitch. Bunting was the correct play in that situation.

What an eighth by Madson! :notworthy:

Now, does Charlie trot him back out in the ninth or do we have to hold our breath through Lidge?

Like McCarver said, that was the most important foul ball in Phillies history.

Huge win and now it heads back to Philly. SF could have lost their chance.

Charlie just mentioned that Halladay suffered a minor groin pull in the 2nd inning facing Posey.

Did Andy Gibbs' balls never drop? Or maybe it was the tight pants.

Hey to break it to you, but Andy wasn't in the Bee Gees. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bee_gees

You must mean Barry or Robin?

I have to ask... was it? When I first saw her/him, I thought My God, a drag queen... then I convinced myself even SF wouldn't do that. But then the camera never really got close to her/him making me think he/she was.
