Win next week = Cowboys buried.

Five of last eight games are at home. Only two good teams in that stretch (AZ and NE).

A home playoff game (which they'll lose) is still a possibility.

There's really not a chance of a road playoff game at this point, is there? It's East or nothing.

Correct. There will be no wildcard from the NFC East. Hence my comment.

With the Giants loss yesterday, most people are picking the Iggles at this point. Possibility just seemed like the wrong word. 8-)

Some writer on Bleacher Report had the best Eagles analogy. They're a rebuilt muscle car that won't fire. If they ever turn over, watch out.

But right now they're just sputtering and blowing smoke out the tailpipe.

I am still with Chip Kelly, though my loyalty is being tested.

I bet the NFC East winner has a better record than the AFC South Winner.

Indy is 3-4 in the lead right now and playing @Carolina tonight, Denver on Sunday, and then @ Atlanta the week after a bye

Houston is 3-5, has a bye this week, then @Cinci, and then plays the Jets

Jax is 2-5, plays @Jets, @Baltimore, then Tennessee

Tennessee is 1-6 plays @ Saints, Carolina, then @Jax.

Best I see as a possibility is 4-6 for any of those teams through 10 games and possibility that they go 3-7 at best(Houston and Jax). If Fitzpatrick wasn't injured for the Jets and they didn't have to play G. Smith, I'd say that 3-7 was the best I could see through 10 games for any of the teams).

Sure you're not. I heard you call in to 980 last week and say the Skins were going to win the division.

Yup, as bad as the NFC East is this year, they are being completely outdone by the ineptitude of the AFC South. What a drek of a division. Forget the schedule, those teams could play anyone and still have a good chance to lose.

Always good to beat the Thugboys. :notworthy:
Though (Greg) Hardy recorded the Cowboys' lone sack, he was not a significant factor in the outcome of the game.

"I'm glad he didn't have a good day," Eagles center Jason Kelce said, according to the Philadelphia newspaper. "It's a joke a guy like that is able to play this quickly."

The NFL originally suspended Hardy for 10 games for allegedly beating up his former girlfriend. The NFLPA appealed the punishment, and the suspension was reduced to four games. He has played in the Cowboys' last four games, all losses.

The story took a turn last week when Deadspin obtained and published police photos of Hardy's ex-girlfriend. The photos showed a young woman with bruises and abrasions.

"Three people I have zero respect for in this world," Kelce said. "People who hit women, who molest children, and rapists."

You think, at least slightly on the inside, Romo is enjoying that the Cowboys are winless without him starting?

Chris Collinsworth was hysterical last night...
He would not let go of the point:
You gotta be able to win at least ONE GAME without your starting QB...

No... No sir you do not - you can go right ahead and lose them all

Correct. They're still only two games out with eight to play. But God their defense sucks. It made Sam Bradford look good for the first time in the regular season. 103 QB rating last night.

Yeah, but two out with eight to play is fine, sort of, if you're chasing one team, but they are chasing three teams and have to leapfrog all of them while not getting to play two of them again (they are done with the Giants and the Eagles). Plus they still have games against Carolina and Green Bay (they're home against the Panthers and in Lambeau for the Pack) plus they have 5 road games in total left, including a trip to balmy Buffalo just after Christmas. And like you said, their defense just doesn't seem up to it.

They need to go 6-2 the rest of the way just to finish at 8-8, and then hope the Giants and Eagles are sitting no better than 8-8 as well. I just have a hard time seeing that team go 6-2 the rest of the way.

Agreed. It's really the Eagles' division to lose, and they may be up to the task.

They have home games against Miami and Tampa Bay, followed by Turkey Day in Detroit. The Iggles need to win all 3 of those IMHO before traveling to NE for a sure loss.

My kids will be in Florida on Turkey Day. I'm actually entertaining the idea of going to Detroit.

Eh, I may just go to Vegas and watch it at Caesars. That would be more fun, and the hooker would be better looking.
