Did you watch the end? If the fans were going to boo the celebration, they would have. They didn't react until the Giants players around the dugout egged them on several minutes after the game ended.DJH wrote:Yeah, right....93henfan wrote:
The Giants celebrated for several minutes before there was any booing. I'm sure the boo was probably a reaction to a Giant player taunting the fans.

OMG!!! They booed the other team. How terrible.Skjellyfetti wrote:Classy of the Philly fans to hang around and boo the Giants while they celebrate.
If the best you got is fans booing (and that is the best you got) I suggest that you move on.
San Fran fans threw shit at the Phils team bus earlier this week. I guess you think that's okay since you didn't post anything about it.
Re: NLCS
Honestly, I just went back on my DVR to relook. The only boos were during Burrell's interview when Uribe and some others were mocking the fans with some "make some noise" arm flaps to the fans.
But let's not let facts get in the way of another chance to bash Phils fans.

Yeah, I did see it. I'm just laughing at the premise that you don't think its possible that philly fans were booing unprovoked.93henfan wrote:Did you watch the end? Yeah, right....
Actually, when I watched, I noticed they started booing when Burrell was being interviewed. I figured it was being shown on the big screen at the stadium, and that is why they were booing. Which, also would be pretty classless, if true (I dont know if that is the case, but that is what I assumed).

I wonder if Northern Iowa fans gave the Hens a golf clap after we beat them yet again in the playoffs in 2007, that time on their home field? If they didn't, they're pussies.BlueHen86 wrote:You're the one who posted about post game booing.DJH wrote:

Don't worry about it 93. They hold Phils fans to a higher standard than other fans, and then tell us how bad Phils fans are when they don't live up to the standard.

I'm surprised you could hear it over the bubbling noises emanating from you bong.
... if they booed during Burrell, that's understandable as he had just recently talked trash to Roy Halladay in game five. If Uribe was taunting the crowed, booing is understandable. Tell me you'd let a player come into your football stadium and tell you to make some noise after they beat you.
Look at what these parents are teaching their kids out there:

Perhaps these kids will grow up to murder someone outside of their baseball stadium, just like the rest of those murderous San Francisco troglodytes.

What a classy fan base.
Giants definitely deserved to win this series, they outplayed the phillies all over the place. I'm kind of glad it's over... if I had to watch Howard take another fast ball down the middle of the plate, I think I might have gone crazy.

Nothing terribly classy about the Giants fanbase - remember, this is the group of people that lionized Barry Bonds, even more so after all the steroid stuff came out into the open.JMU DJ wrote:Skjellyfetti wrote:Classy of the Philly fans to hang around and boo the Giants while they celebrate.

The only thing you can really see about Barry Bonds in the stadium is a little marker in outfield. There are Willie Mays, Juan Marichal, Willie McCovey and Orlando Cepeda Statues. The right field fence is 24' high, a tribute to Willie Mays #24. But not much about Balco Barry.GannonFan wrote:nothing terribly classy about the Giants fanbase - remember, this is the group of people that lionized Barry Bonds, even more so after all the steroid stuff came out into the open.

Fans' treatment of Cliff Lee's wife at Yankee Stadium was ugly...
During the American League Championship Series games in New York between the Yankees and Rangers, fans were extremely rude to Kristen Lee, spitting and throwing beer in her direction and shouting obscenities...

Not to mention, those class acts were throwing trash into the Rangers bullpen while pitchers were warming up.
