I tried to watch the game the US was up 1-0 with about 30 minutes left, but one of our guys went down, started rubbing his nose, and then gesturing wildly at the ref to try to get a penalty for this horrible tragedy of a Mexican player bumping into his nose.
I just can't take the sport seriously. I'll try again when the World Cup starts. That's about all I can take. That's when the chick spectators start wearing bikinis or body paint only, right?
Has soccer ever considered a shot clock or a three-point line? That game needs more excitement.
You see a lot more of that shit in international play than you do club play.
International play is also a lot more boring than club play...trust me. International teams don't spend a ton of time together and don't have the free flowing feel of club teams that play 40-50 games plus per year together. I didn't believe it either until I started watching soccer.
Wake up one Saturday/Sunday morning and tune into the Barclay's Premiere League...or find Bundesliga (German top league) or La Liga (Spanish top league) online. The games are fun as hell most times.

Agreed, international soccer is almost more about the flag waving than the actual soccer. Club soccer is far more entertaining.
Great playing by the Americans without a number of their best players such as Altidore, Cameron, Besler and Bradley. Only 5 guys started in the same position they did on Friday. This win shows the depth that the US has now that they did not used to have. In previous years, with those guys missing, we would have been in no shape to win or tie but they remained strong last night in Columbus.
The big thing with this win combined with the Honduras-Panama tie is that we qualified and we can use the next 2 games to add to our depth and get others caps who would not have done so in the past against Jamaica and at Panama.
Hopefully the Costa-Rica game was an aberration. Remember that we have now won 13 of 14 matches. Everyone is entitled to a bad game every once in a while.

Wait, I thought you were black...are you a Mexican too????
I routed for Mexico because they are the Gold Medalist in Olympic men soccer at the expense of Sweden.
So, why not just root against Sweden? Why would you root against the USA because of something they had nothing to do with? I get that you struggle with logic, but this is really simple stuff...
Appalachian State Mountaineers:
National Champions: 2005, 2006, and 2007 Southern Conference Champions: 1986, 1987, 1991, 1995, 1999, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012
NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! WE'RE GONNA SHOUT IT! NOTHING'S HOTTER THAN A-S-U!

And he must hate Sweden because of how milky white they are. SMDH.

I went to a soccer match once, in high school (97-2001). It was boring.
Boredom is a reflection of oneself.
No, Harvey Danger. Boredom is a reflection of one interest in something. A person is not required to be neither excited nor interested about every event they attend, book they read, place they go, experience, etc...
