That's one of the joys of country living: not having to walk all the way inside to take a piss when you're washing the car or doing yard work.
Pissing as well as shitting right on the side of the street are special joys to watch here in Lagos

When are you going to get one of those truly plummy postings, like Tegucigalpa or Tashkent?
It's also pretty silly to suggest that running backwards is the same thing as freestyle vs butterfly.
I had this discussion with Mrs89 last night. Maybe you can do a better job of explaining how it's different. The fastest way to swim is freestyle. The fastest way to move on your feet is to run forwards. Butter, Back, Breast... are all invented ways to swim, just like skipping, hopping or running backwards. It's SPOT on.
But just because freestyle is the fastest way to swim does not mean that it is wrong to see who is the fastest at other common ways to swim - butter, back and breast. You may not like it but nobody really cares.

Or a 400 where you have to hop on both feet? Why not? Because it would be stupid to have a race where you are forced to do a motion that is not the fastest way to the finish line.
Good GRIEF.
You are the biggest whiner...

Women's 10,000 meters just finished and was won in a World Record of 29:17 by an Ethiopian breaking the former WR of 29:31. That is an average of roughly 1:10.25 per lap around the track or a little over a 4:41 mile for about 6.25 miles. Former record was by a Chinese women from when the Chinese were known to have juiced themselves big time. 2nd place was in 29:32. That's insane - Blood doping/PEDs or something are still alive and well in track.
Top non-African (non Kenyan/Ethiopian) was Molly Huddle from the US in 6th place in 30:13 breaking the U.S. record by about 10-15 seconds I believe.

USWNT chokes against Sweden losing in Penalties. Game they dominated possession and shots but could only put 1 goal in the net (and only 5 of 24 shots were on goal). Leaving it to PKs is dangerous and they lost in the quarters because of it.
