In today's NBA he can't be the MVP. Leads the league in assists (should get a real big thank you card from Booker for that) with over 10 per game, but he only scores about 15 per game, doesn't shoot great from 3 (just average at .330 from there), he only has 2 triple doubles this year. No one is going to vote that for MVP, despite how valuable he really is.UNI88 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 9:00 pmHas any NBA team made a better move?GannonFan wrote:
Nah, just Paul being Paul. There's a reason why you could induct him in the HOF right now. Picking him up in that trade is by far the best move the Suns have made in the past few years.
Kind of sounds like the real MVP.

As for NBA teams making better moves, I dunno, I put the Lakers drafting Magic Johnson a little higher on the list, the Lakers picking up Shaq and Kobe is up there as well, the Bulls drafting Jordan (while also getting Scottie Pippen for Olden Polynice, and acquiring Rodman), Sixers picking up Moses and winning a title was big, Sixers getting Dr J, the Celtics trading Joe Barry Carroll for what ended up being Robert Parrish and Kevin McHale was a decent move, the Mavs trade for Dirk Nowitski certainly skewed positive for them, Bill Laimbeer was a throw-in for a trade that worked out pretty well for the Pistons. There's probably a few more out there.
