NLCS
Re: NLCS
The thing is, with no team from the east coast playing, two thirds of the country doesn't really care about the World Series now. Poor Fox.Gil Dobie wrote:World Serious tonight, time to move on boys and girls.

I've got plenty of TiVo watching to catch up on - let me know how everything turns out!93henfan wrote:The thing is, with no team from the east coast playing, two thirds of the country doesn't really care about the World Series now. Did anyone outside of Philly, care about the Phillies. It was the Yankees that had people watching last year. 2008 had the lowest ratings ever.93henfan wrote:The thing is, with no team from the east coast playing, two thirds of the country doesn't really care about the World Series now. Re: NLCS
Don't worry - in 10 years we'll all be waxing nostalgic about how bigger the audience was back in 2008 compared to what it will be in 2018. The only constant is, over time, the ratings are declining. The Phillies having the lowest ratings ever may not even last for this year. The Yankees ratings have been in decline every subsequent year they make the World Series, so while they cause a minor blip upwards, even their ratings are smaller than 10 years ago.Gil Dobie wrote:Did anyone outside of Philly, care about the Phillies. Ummmmm, I think the elephant in the room is that the Phils played...
Tampa.
Yes, that Tampa. The one that was giving away free tickets during the pennant race last month.
I'd have no way to verify Gil, but I bet you couldn't name five positional starters and two starting pitchers on Tampa right now without searching.

Ask me most NL teams and I would have to look them up even though I deal with sports memorabilia on a daily basis.
