No, Harvey Danger. Boredom is a reflection of one interest in something. A person is not required to be neither excited nor interested about every event they attend, book they read, place they go, experience, etc...
So....a reflection of oneself then.... :coffee:

No. Not in the sense that you are boring person as WTAG implied.. In the sense that nobody derives entertainment from every thing in life. Some things are boring.

Those rankings are garbage. I think we were like 5th or 6th heading into the 2006 WC.

You watch your mouth! There's nothing more exciting on this planet than watching a game with 22 guys running around for 90+ minutes, flopping all over the place like fish out of water, not using their hands, and wearing shin guards that ends in a 0-0 tie. That shit is legit!
Appalachian State Mountaineers:

National Champions: 2005, 2006, and 2007
Southern Conference Champions: 1986, 1987, 1991, 1995, 1999, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012

I understand the hooligans. I'd riot if I sat in the cold for 90+minutes to watch a game end in a 0-0 tie.

Or you could watch a game that manages to pack 11 minutes of action into a 3+ hour event!

Not sure the change but they changed the way that rankings were done shortly after the 2006 world cup.

Also, while we lost at Costa Rica (33 ranked) recently, we did win at Bosnia (ranked 18) and home versus Germany (who is currently ranked number 3 and has not lost otherwise in over a year).

We probably should be somewhere in the top 20 so around 15 is not bad guestimate based on our year.

Canada continues to plan on bid for 2026 World Cup
Image

TORONTO — By the time 2026 rolls around, it will have been 32 years since the CONCACAF region hosted the FIFA World Cup, and according to reports published on Wednesday, the president of the Liga MX believes a joint US-Mexico bid might be just the thing to bring the World Cup back to this part of the globe.

Mexico would team up with the USA to host 2026 World Cup tournament

Mexico is interested in joining forces with the USA to co-host a bid for the 2026 World Cup.

Liga MX president Decio de María, a former high-ranking executive of the Mexican soccer federation, made the statement at Wednesday's Leaders in Football Conference in London during a discussion about the future of the World Cup and the FIFA bidding process.

“Do it with some Mexican cities there,” de María reportedly told U.S. Soccer Federation president Sunil Gulati when the topic of a US bid for the 2026 World Cup came up.

I know we've already qualified but we host Jamaica tomorrow and go to Panama on Tuesday

Games Remaining
Tomorrow:
Jamaica @ US - US has qualified and Jamaica is eliminated so it is meaningless

Costa Rica @Honduras - CR has already qualified and Honduras would clinch a minimum of 4th with a win (likely qualifies with it since it goes to Jamaica for its last game) - a tie would not be horrible for Honduras

Panama @ Mexico - Winner should get 4th (playoff spot with NZ) and loser likely staying home. A tie will make things very interesting for Tuesday

Tuesday:
US @ Panama - US has qualified and will likely use this to try out younger players. Panama could need this for a 4th spot or maybe 3rd if things go the right way.

Honduras @ Jamaica - Jamaica has been eliminated and Honduras will likely either need 1 or 3 points to guarantee a WC spot so watch for blood here

Mexico @ Costa Rica - Costa Rica has qualified and will likely use this to try out younger players. Like Panama, Mexico could need this for a 4th spot or maybe 3rd if things go the right way

Predicted final standings (tough to predict with US and CR not necessarily fielding their best teams):
US with 20 points WC qualifier
Costa Rica with 17 points WC qualifier
Honduras with 15 points WC qualifier
Panama with 10 points (Panama getting 4th on more goals scored during all matches) - plays NZ in a playoff
Mexico with 10 points
Jamaica with 4 points
