I don't care that you beat Warner....I don't like the Cards so I didn't care you beat him...Brandon Keith from UNI also plays for Arizona
my word indeed... well if you had 44 years of pain (im at 21 so) you would understand. at least minnesota has been to the super bowl. we had 21 years of a sub .500 record. this was the first year we had 2 wins in 1 playoff. 1st nfc championship host. it was fun
my dad went to Super Bowl IV with the Vikings and Chiefs at Tulane stadium... im sure you know who won that one.

but you do realize why the vikings lost?
Because we are doomed for failure and to never win a title...much like the Cubs (hope they never win a title) and UNI Panthers....
The Colts are favored and they should be, but I think it'd be a mistake to think it might be a mistake to read too much into the problems the Saints had on offense against the Vikings. Brees was off. He is normally extremely accurate and he was missing a lot on throws he normally makes. It could be like that again but it's not likely. Basically the Saints managed to win when Brees was having an off game. And when one talks about the turnovers remember that the Saints led the league in takeways. That's what they do on defense. Sure, 5 is a lot and you can't count on getting that many. But the Saints kind of remind me of how the Denver Broncos defense was way back in the late 70s and early 80s. They gave up yards but were very disruptive and got a lot of takeaways.
Of course Manning is very savvy so they may not get those turnovers this time and they need to get them because they do allow teams to move the ball. We'll see what happens.

very true we did lead the league in takeways. yeah drew did have an off night but as an athlete myself, i made the comment that I have noticed that prior to state championships or the championship game in a tournament i usually get nervous about those games rather than the championship game itself.
drew will be on for the super bowl so im not worried about it

I even wonder if he had some kind of hand injury or something that hasn't been publicized. He was just off. It was like he was having trouble gripping the ball or something. The ball just didn't look good coming out.
Whatever the reason is the big thing is that he didn't look anything like he's capable of looking. When he looks good he's incredibly accurate. If he'd have been on against the Vikings it would've been a totally different game because there were a lot of plays that were "there" for the Saints that he didn't make and usually he makes those plays.

I think a good example of how Brees was off was on that play in overtime where the guy had to go down to get the ball and there was a question as to whether or not he really caught it. Most games Brees hits the guy perfectly in stride and he not only easily catches the ball but makes yards after the catch because he doesn't have to break stride or anything to catch it.

first off marcus colston caught that ball... and yes i agree about his passes. after the 2nd pass my uncle looked at me and said "brees looks like he is lobbing the ball" . and it did look like it. looked like lolly pop throws. drew brees however is a top 5 qb in this league (brady, p.manning, favre, and pick your 4th) so im not going to really analyze it, but watching the saints every week his passes did look different.

Since when is it a catch when the ball touches the ground?

thats fucking shit and you know it. H didnt maintain posession until he trapped the ball with the ground...ball touches ground...baby ass or not... means pass incomplete

Moot point anyway, Manning is going to carve up the Saints' dismal pass defense.

Mr. Manning just better pray that Mr. Brees doesn't have one of his "normal" days at the office. I'm gonna say Brees throws for over 300, and has 3 TD's.

he might... and drew brees might throw for 500 yards. shouldnt we all know that IS should never be used before a game? example = rams vs patriots... patriots vs rams... usa hockey vs russia hockey...
no body is Chad Ocho Cinco or T.O. so nobody can say IS hahaha

I'll take Manning's "normal day at the office" over Brees'. I like the guy, and he is a great quarterback, but only one of these guys will be considered the greatest QB of all time when it's all said and done, and it isn't Brees.
