Maybe Joe should change his last name being his father used it.JayJ79 wrote:so Jack Buck is the first person to ever say "We'll see you tomorrow night"? wow, I never knew that.Grizalltheway wrote:
So, his dad used it first, but it's somehow Joe's call?

Video: Buck’s ‘We will see you tomorrow night’ call echoes dad’s
When he called the winning home run that David Freese(notes) of the St. Louis Cardinals hit in Game 6 on Thursday night, Fox broadcaster Joe Buck paid homage to his late father, Jack Buck, along with another classic World Series moment.
Sometimes understated is best, and working for CBS-TV in 1991, Jack Buck offered one of the great understated game-winning calls in Series history when Kirby Puckett of the Minnesota Twins beat the Atlanta Braves in Game 6 of the Series with a home run in the bottom of the 11th inning. The call included the famous phrase:
"And we'll see ya' ... tomorrow night."

I really dislike Buck normally - but I liked this call - more than that, his decision, after making that call to allow for 1:15 of silence - where you just soaked in the moment and let it speak for itself - was terrific.Grizalltheway wrote:No, dude. Even McCarver's "how did this happen?" to break that silence was excellent, he was as in awe as the viewers at home.
