F*ckin' Interception Jake decides to strike in a huge playoff game. Figures.
Warner and Fitzgerald are workin' the Panthers secondary.
Two weeks..two weeks, Fox and the gang had to get everyone resting and prepped..ugh. I hope Richardson fires everyone after the game.
Well, lets see how AZGrizFan is at predicting football games:
I predicted the Griz would lose to Weber in the playoffs - Wrong
I predicted the Griz would lose to JMU in the playoffs - Wrong
I predicted the Griz would BEAT Richmond - Wrong
I predicted the Cardinals would get spanked by Atlanta - Wrong
I predicted the Cardinals would get spanked by Carolina - ?????
I'm on an 0-4 streak....I AM like the Dave Coulson of Arizona!!!

Here's what I'll NEVER understand about football: The Panthers made it look SOOOOO easy on their first drive....after that drive, I'd have bet they'd put up a 30-spot on the Cardinals. Delhome is now 5-12 for 35 yards and 3 INT's. This is a funny damned game....guess we can root for the Eagles tomorrow, and Phoenix, AZ will officially be HOSTING the NFC Championship game....whod'a thunk it???

Too bad the Panthers never showed up give 'em a game. Reminds me of the choke job against Seattle in 2005. Fox and company have got to go.
If the Cardinals make the Super Bowl, I will......man. I'll have to THINK about this one. I wouldn't have guessed in a MILLION years they'd even make it THIS far, let alone win this game. Next week should be real interesting.

It's a great feeling, unless you lose, and especially if you lose a heatbreaker.
I never thought I'd see Carolina get to a Super Bowl until it happened in 2004. Panthers could have..probably should have beaten the Patriots. At least take the game to OT.
But noooooooooo..John f'in Kasay has to go and kick the ball out of bounds after the game is tied up. Patriots get in quick field goal range and Vinatieri kicks the winner as time expires.
Jake with 5 INTS. Absurd that he's still in the game.

This might be too simple of an answer, but teams usually throw some new wrinkles into their game plans each week ... something that hasn't been picked up by a team viewing films. Slightly different positions or shifts. Whatever. By the end of the first two possessions (1 offense, 1 defense) the eyes in the booths have often picked up on what's working and have sent photos down the the sidelines. Adjustments can be made very quickly to counter what was beating you only a few minutes before.
I'm a Redskins fan and I can't tell you how many times the Skins look like world beaters in the first half of the first quarter, only to struggle to move the ball at all the rest of the game. More than I care to remember.

That game looked like a replay of the Griz/Spiders game. Carolina got out of their running game early, and got down early, and couldn't recover.

sounds like App St Richmond as well. We couldn't run and Armanti started throwing to the wrong guys.
Congratulations to the Cardinals. I guess I'm on the bandwagon now.
As bad as the QB play was for the Panthers, you have to lay a lot of this on the coaching staff. When a 1,000 yard receiver is scratched, you double team the other 1,000 yard receiver. They didn't adjust until the half, and by then it was basically over.
And to clarify - the Cardinals did have two 1,000 yard recievers on the field Saturday - Fitz and Steve Breaston.
The Cards were only the5th team ever to have 3 1,000+ yard recievers in a season
3? Still should have doubled Fitzgerald.
It also occurred to me that the Lions are now the undisputed most futile franchise in the NFL. Two wins by the Cardinals in this years playoffs is one more than the Lions have had since 1955.
