SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I googled "prettiest baseball swing" and at the bottom where it gives related searches 6 of the 9 were Ken Griffey Jr related.

Ted Williams is widely acclaimed to have the best swing in history.

Williams was rumored to have had a secret hitting coach, whom later he tried to get support for this hitting coach to be elected into the hall of fame. Shoeless Joe Jackson was the rumored coach.SuperHornet wrote:Ted Williams is widely acclaimed to have the best swing in history.

That's way cool. I still don't like how Jackson was railroaded when there was no proof that he threw the Series. That was an abuse of power not seen again until that punk Roger Goodell....Gil Dobie wrote:Williams was rumored to have had a secret hitting coach, whom later he tried to get support for this hitting coach to be elected into the hall of fame. Re: Greatest Living Baseball Player
the big difference for today (to me) is that guys have to face 3+ different pitchers a night because of bullpens. So you face a lot more fresh arms than older guys did.Gil Dobie wrote:A couple things evened out the old-timers and today's pitchers. The lowering of the pitching mound and changing of the knock down pitch. Just think if they raised the mound for today's pitchers. After 1968 the mound was lowered 5 inches. I know your are refering to nasty as good, but the old-time pitchers had the ability to know down batters and not get thrown out of games due to the wussification of the rules. Nolan Ryan pitched from the 1960's thru till the 1990's, and only Verlander has close to his stuff. There are a lot of bad pitchers today too, aka Minnesota Twins.Brock Landers wrote:Pujols. Pitchers are nastier nowadays![]()
Yes I realize how unpopular that opinion is going to be you old f#$ks![]()
There are some pitchers that would be good in any generation.
I would also contend that Roger Clemens in his prime had Ryanesque stuff. That's a little before my time though. So I can't say for sure.

I thought of him, many people like him. IMO he's close to Mike Schmidt or Tom Seaver, but not the rest on the list.dal4018 wrote:Hey Gil will this guy do??? http:// http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJxHp5WU ... ata_player" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; my apologies for the background music.Gil Dobie wrote:
