Tampa will get Stamkos and Bishop fully healthy, the Pens and Bruins are tough, and there are enough teams getting their act together (Philly, Washington, NYR, et al.) It's going to be a fun 2nd half when the Olympic break is over.
Very much looking forward to that, too. Will be interesting to see if the US can get it done this time around.

I know, I'm very excited. The Gold Medal game in 2010 was one of the greatest hockey games I've ever seen. This is going to get beaten to death, but I hope that the team has revenge on their minds after losing in that manner.

Still, this isn't going to be easy. You know the Russians will play hard at home, the Canadians are loaded and the Swedes, Czechs, and Finns are used to playing on the larger international ice (and all 3 have some big-time talents on their rosters, as you'd expect). Vancouver 2010 was of course played on NHL-sized ice, which favors the North American countries' style of play. That's my worry- we'll play someone like Sweden before a medal round and lose. Our defensemen are going to have to play their asses off if Quick/Miller aren't standing on their heads every game.

Colorado in the "better" Newark tonight. Go Devils.

6 teams separated by just 2 points for the last Eastern playoff spot.

Looks like it was Schneider in goal. He is playing just over 50% of the games. Will be interesting to see what the Devils do in the last 10-15 games if playoff spot is close. To-be Hall of Fame veteran who has a below .900 save percentage but has done well in pressure games in the past or the younger guy who is top 5 in save percentage and #2 in GAA as of now. I go with Schneider.

Agree. Not much of a chance to make any noise in the playoffs this year anyway with no offense. Might as well let him get experience.

He's also the better goalie and a hot goalie going into the playoffs can carry you a long way. I am a Ranger fan so hopefully not too far (and glad that Lundqvist is finally playing well) but Schneider gives the Devils the better opportunity to get in the playoffs and win some playoff games than Brodeur

Avs continue their assault on the least coast against the Rangers tonight. I'm saying 4-2 good guys.

They'll need to get more than 4 shots per period to do that. 2-0 Rangers after 1 as NYR is outshooting the Avs 20-4 in the 1st and have the first 6 shots in the 2nd.

Kind of in disbelief about the Avs at this point. After a 3-2 win over the Blackhawks they jump to 2nd place in the central with 91 points.

Flyers are the hottest team right now besides the B's. Caps with a nice west coast swing picking up points in all three games and two wins. Only problem for the Caps is they finish the last 7 games with 2 each vs Flyers, Bruins and Blackhawks.

Now I just need the Caps to win their final three and the Blue Jackets to lose their final three. Seems simple enough. :x

What do you expect when NY fans come to Philly, sit all the way upstairs & run at the mouth in a game where Philly is kicking their ass on the ice. BOOM!

Here's the best view of it:

Security tried to get them out of there before they got their asses kicked but they wouldn't go & just mouthed off - all the while their team was just getting pummeled on the ice as well....

Game 7 tonight!!
