Sports Illustrated had a great chart/diagram, that I cannot find at the moment, that showed which player got what punishment for infractions.
It went from a few 1 gamers for hits and whatnot, to a year ban for killing a guy.
I'd be OK with a caning to the same areas. Say thirty lashes that break skin on the front of his legs and scrotum. Also agree, no contact with the child and compensatory funds of at least a couple of million dollars for the child's future.

Hey, the guy is going to do some serious time, and he should, but I didn't read anything that he specifically targetted the scrotum. If anything, he appeared upset that he did hit him there accidentally. Granted, again, he's going down for this and rightfully so, but let's let him go down for what he really did.

You need to read more about the case. He even admitted what he did in a carefully scripted preemptive text he sent to the boys mom, in hopes she wouldn't be absolutely horrified when she saw the broken skin all over his legs and scrotum.
