It was just the first round - while there have been first round FCS players before, it's not like there's a boatload of them either.

Bank it.

Winston is the next Jamarcus Russell.
I don't doubt that Winston will be a lackluster NFL QB. I just wonder if Mariotta, where he is, will end up being one as well, at least for a while. Wisenhunt doesn't have a great track record with young QB's and they'll have to really revamp their offense to match Mariotta's talents, and Wisenhunt has been pretty inflexible in the past. And there's plenty of noise that Wisenhunt was told to draft Mariotta because it helps the owner sell the team by having a name and face like Mariotta headlining the team. Mariotta could probably succeed with a lot of teams, I'm just not sure the Titans are one of them.

Packers get a "fast" skinny safety that can't tackle and are going to play him at corner..... :suspicious:

Experts liked the pick the fans seem to have hated it so we'll see.....

I would have traded down!

Well...perhaps not #1...but a guy with talent but a penchant for trouble that raises a TON of red flags indicating that he'll spend more time in jail than on the field vs. a project type who's guaranteed to be there and is willing to learn...I think I'd rather have the second guy...assuming, of course, that I already have a decent starter in place. Not sure if TB qualifies for that right now, but I'd rather have a guy I can count on to show up and not give the team a bad name off the field than gamble on a guy with a known history suddenly "seeing the light...."

Von Hayes...the baseball player? If it is I knew his sister! My wife is/was a friend of hers.
That's the second Von Hayes mention here in a month.

Just looked it up and my guess was yours but he is actually talking of the Sac State QB who according to CBS is ranked the 26th ranked QB in this draft.

I really hope the Bengals know what they are doing.

1st: OT, Great.
2nd: OT, ok..but still good
3rd: TE, ummm, what? You had 20 sacks...yeah 20 last season. Where is a DT/DE and S/CB????? WTF
3rd:

The last pick in the 3rd had better be defensive and it had better be smart...oh wait, they are the Bengals.

But hey, at least we aren't the JETS or  Browns.

Are we talking about a player or what I got from the Face Club in Missoula this week?

The Spicy Duck Curry was excellent.

Next time you are in Missoula check out this place. A little spendy but it is worth every penny.

OT Jake Rogers (the kid who's father had a heart attack during the ISU playoff game) gets drafted by the Falcons in the 7th round.
