Wow, what a finish.
Boy, did the Redskins blow an opportunity. Now all the fans of NFC East teams have something to root for next weekend.

Both Eagles and Skins control their own destiny, but I'm not convinced either actually wants to win the division.

Other than the Redskins "no name defense" as they are called - which I totally disagree with
Terrance Knighton / Deshawn Goldston / Chris Culliver / DeAngelo Hall and more...
The NFC East is LOADED WITH TALENT and I am not kidding
you go down the rosters and all the NFC East teams are stacked
They are just having bad seasons simultaneously (weirdest damn thing I've ever seen)

Dallas probably has the best O line but without a QB it is easy to stop the run.
Eagles also have QB problems.
Skins have 4 on the line that never started prior to this year.
Eagles and Giants are near the top of the league in dropped passes.
Re: The Mighty 2015 NFC East
So, it doesn't quite answer your question, but there have been 4 teams, with losing records, to reach the playoffs.93henfan wrote:SuperHornet, have you found this for me yet? Need an answer by COB.93henfan wrote:

1982 (9 game season)
1. Cleveland Browns, with a 4-5 record, made it to the playoffs. Traveled to, and lost to the LA Raiders
2. Detroit Lions, with a 4-5 record, made it to the playoffs. Traveled to and lost to the Washington Redskins.
2010
1. Seattle Seahawks, 7-9
2014
1. Carolina Panthers, 7-8-1. They had a 6 game losing streak to end the regular season.

The most exciting division in the NFL is still in a 3-way tie with 3 games left.

Re: The Mighty 2015 NFC East
Skins have the most realistic chance of winning next week.
Carolina at Giants (with Giants having a short week and Carolina going for perfection)
Arizona at Philly (Zona will need this win to likely get the 2 seed with GB and Seattle being their final 2 games)
Buffalo at Skins - (Skins are 5-2 at home and Buffalo is basically out of Playoff picture but fighting hard)
Jets at Dallas (Dallas basically out of it with their fake QB replacements for Romo and Jets fighting with KC and Pitt for 2 WC spots and finishing up with NE and Buffalo need to win this one)

I think the only way that means anything is if the Eagles and Giants both lose this week, the Giants lose the following but beat the Eagles in the final week. Then the Skins could lose to the Eagles and still win the division. Other than that I think this week is irrelevant.tribe_pride wrote:Skins have the most realistic chance of winning next week.

I think we read the same thing, it's that next week doesn't mean much as 93 has pointed out on another thread. Eagles can lose to Arizona and still control their own destiny (Skins will too).CAA Flagship wrote:89Hen wrote: I think the only way that means anything is if the Eagles and Giants both lose this week, the Giants lose the following but beat the Eagles in the final week. I know what you mean.
