Last I heard, Cleveland has plenty of gangsta. :tiptoe:

This World Series is between two franchises with the longest World Series title droughts. They have a combined 176 years without a championship. The previous longest combined drought was 132 years in 2005 between the Chicago White Sox and the Houston Astros.

Maybe he hates yuppie scum. That's why I hope Cleveland wins. I've been to Wrigley, and while there is a small smattering of hardcore fans, most are there to hit the bars across the street and drink Michelob Ultra, show up in the second inning, take 200 selfies, leave after the seventh, then go get a gluten/GMO free meal somewhere.

Plus, why would you want to ruin a 108 year streak? Some stuff is cool to perpetuate. The Curse of the Bambino is now ash in the scrap heap of history. The Red Sox were quaint as lovable losers and now they're just another perennial colossal payroll like the Yankees.

If the Cubs win, they're stars for a week and then nobody ever gives a care about them anymore outside Chicago.
Makes sense. Just like how Philly should keep their Super Bowl streak going. :thumb:

Does T-Mobile realize that the Nats were eliminated awhile back? Their commercial with Bryce Harper was obviously filmed with the expectation that he'd still be playing while it's running. Seems really odd with the Nats at home watching the Series on TV again.

Wow, Cubbies stumble right out of the gate. Lester getting worked. 26 pitches in the first. 2 runs surrendered.

Can Kluber pitch EVERY game for Cleveland..?
If not the CUBS have the long series advantage

Francona says Kluber is going to pitch 3 starts in this series

I don't see how the Injuns win a non-Kluber pitched game.

Bases loaded, Hendricks chased in the 5th. You can feel the sense of dread building in Wirgleyville.

Still 8 people can get it right if Cleveland wins. All the Cubs fans are out, as nobody picked the Cubs in 7.

He has 2 of their 3 wins...will probably 3 of 4 in game 7.

IMO, this has been a fun series to watch.
