True story - I was a marshal for Tiger's AT&T National at 89's muni course awhile back - some Einstein put a bank of porta-potties within earshot of the 11th green without lining the door frames with felt, so you got the loud BANG! every time someone emerged. Every single frickin' pairing coming through gave us a hard time about "someone should get over there and tell 'em to be quiet!" and "do your job!". We just gave them the ol' side eye and muttered "not in the job description"...

You can't possibly count how often it occurs in one soccer game on all your digits. Secondly, it actually happened. Soccer players are diving and whining over things that didn't even occur. Finally, considering professional golfers call penalties on themselves all the time when nobody else could have called them or known... can you imagine if soccer players got to call their own penalties?

If you want to call Rob's example pussy whining, that's your prerogative. IMO, that's not a very good example.

Some of the guys are what we call "rabbit ears" who hear everything that's going on. I had Davis Love III move me off the tee box as a paddle guy because he didn't like having anyone behind him. I guess in your book that's pussy whining. Didn't upset me in the least, I just chalked it up to he's the pro, I'm a volunteer.

During the US Open this year, I was watching someone on the tee box back off the ball to move a volunteer who was at the back of the tee box (behind the ball) and raised his "Quiet sign" after he addressed the ball. I was laughing at how stupid the sign guy was. I remember a tournament a few years back where a guy that was properly placed directly behind the golfer's back on the tee box and raised his sign as he addressed the ball. The problem was that the shadow of the sign suddenly appeared between the golfer's legs. Needless to say, the golfer backed off and gave the volunteer a "Really?" look.
