I just saw the replays on TV. I always thought that C.B. Bucknor sucked, but those blown calls were horrible. The first one is about as bad as I've seen at the MLB level (Denkinger gets the top spot there). If they're gong to let him umpire post season games, they need to also have replay.

but the real problem, as i see it, is that these crews don't work together during the season... they are the most senior (for the most part) umpires brought together... which means they are less likely to get to get together and overturn at bad call... like the two at first and the one at third.

What used to annoy the crap out of me is how they bring in two extra umps to work the outfield - and they would screw up outfield calls.
