Not so much. They actually moved the game time up and made the tickets free for the Mystics and to stay and watch the Caps. They were "sold" today at 1pm on Ticketmaster and were sold out in minutes.

Except that a bunch of people jumped the gun and bought those tix on the secondary market from season ticket holders - good luck to them getting their money back...

Story seems a little overblown. Season ticket holders sell them on the official site (like I do for Caps) and any tickets resold there, were going to be credited. If you bought on StubHub or CheapSeats... you could be out of luck. But the highest I heard was $400-500, which is still awful if you shelled that out.
BTW, I sold my Game 3 tickets for $1900 a piece (my cost was $420).

Damn scalper.
Yup. I hate scalping too, but considering the NHL and Capitals actually provide the means to do so on their own website, I don't feel as bad. Plus, I have to buy every game, so it's not like I bought that game with the intent of selling it. At least that's how I'm justifying it.

Anything goes in the StubHub era.
What I don't get are events like when the Foo Fighters opened the new stage in DC. Tix sold out in less than 10 seconds (I was online refreshing as fast as I could click and was shut out). You could only buy two and the credit card used to buy them had to be the one who actually used the ticket (they really do check, I've been)... 10 minutes after the sale you could find them on resale locations for $1000. How is that even possible?
Congrats 89, Bandal, and whoever else likes the Caps. That was a long time coming.
I’m actually genuinely happy for Ovechkin after watching the pure joy in him hoisting the Cup. That was one happy guy. Any Eagles fan can tell you, it’s sweeter when it’s that rare.
Most importantly, a DC parade means either a day off or unscheduled telework for this guy!
Minnesota is celebrating now having the longest drought of anyone with the 4 major sports, not to have a championship. They were tied with Washington DC, having had the Twins last winning during the 1991 season. Same season the Fighting Hawks won the Super Bowl, in Minnesota.

Vikings or bust now for Minnesota - the other ones aren't winning anytime soon.

The Vikings don't have the easy schedule they had last year either.

Well, they're still right there with Eagles, Rams, Saints, and Falcons. Maybe even the 49'ers get into that mix. Somebody has to win the NFC. And it won't be the cowboys!
Caps’ parade is 11am Tuesday. I guess I’ll walk out and check it out since it’s basically two blocks away (7th and the Mall for the ceremony). It’ll be my second parade this year.

Don't forget the DC Pride Parade tomorrow afternoon

Here was the Canadian Embassy yesterday (my bus stop):

And it will be all-white.
I dunno. I've seen some people wearing Caps jerseys who looked like the muslim brotherhood and planet of the apes had a baby.
