Re: NFL 2020 Season
It's a good poem, just not much of a song. If we need to change the anthem because we don't like the guy who wrote the words or because the third stanza of the song (a part that's never sung anyway) contains something racist, then we can always go with America the Beautiful or God Bless America. Better tunes than this one.∞∞∞ wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 7:24 pm NFL to play Black National Anthem before Star-Spangled Banner before every game on Week 1.

Apparently Mahomes signed a 10 year deal with the Chiefs today, for something like $450 million.

It'll be interesting on how the Chiefs handle that going forward with regards to the rest of their roster - that's a load of money to carry for the first 5 years or so. Also interesting as to what impact this has on how much the cowboys will end up paying Dak when they get around to paying him. He won't be cheap now and will certainly get more money than QB's that are better than he is.

Dak has put up great stats, he deserves a decent contract despite what the haters say.93henfan wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 11:22 amGannonFan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 5:46 am

I would agree that he deserves a decent contract. I wouldn't pay him anywhere near $50m/year though. He probably belongs somewhere between Jared Goff & Ryan Tannehill.

Somebody suggested the Washington Foreskins. That mixes the past with the future.

The eagle was chosen as the emblem of the US in 1782, in part, by slaveholders.

Re: NFL 2020 Season
As an Eagles fan, I can take no joy in the disaster that has become the Washington football team. When you think big picture, this just means that it's likely that Daniel Snyder will be forced out at some point in the near future. Again as an Eagles fan, Daniel Snyder's departure can only improve Washington's on the field product, which was doomed to be awful as long as he was the owner. I say forgive and forget and let Daniel Snyder own that team for another 20 years.
