It depends on what you want out of the experience. At home you don't have to drive, get replays, cheap eats and drinks, private bathroom, constant commentary, pause/record/rewind. It's hard to beat... unless you want the live experience. Also depends on where your seats are at the game. I think NHL in person is better than TV IF you have good seats. I will not go to an NHL game and sit in the upper deck.

Almost put hockey in as well because I think that it is the best sport to watch in person. Don't care where seats are for hockey. I have been in the top row, on the glass, and in a luxury box and thought it was awesome in all 3 places

Hard crash in testing for Brad Keselowski at Watkins Glen. His rear brakes failed going into the first turn after a record lap. The hit was so hard it bent his steering wheel, but apparently he is OK. Twitter pics and video in the linked article.

How screwed up is NASCAR. After Loudon Kenseth fails post race and crew chief Jason Ratcliff gets a P3 penalty with a 25k fine but no suspension or probation. Harvick finishes Indy with a loose lug nut and crew chief Rodney Childers gets a P3 with a 25k fine and a one race suspension and is probation for the rest of the year. Makes ZERO sense. Prime example of how screwed up NASCAR is. :ohno: Childers is right when he tweeted "Guess I should have failed post race instead of having one lugnut loose.."
http://nesnfuel.com/2016/07/27/kevin-ha ... eths-team/

I don't feel too sorry for Harvick though as it was 3 weeks ago he & Childers whined to NASCAR officials at KY about Truex passing them on pit road. That played a part in that pit road penalty that may have kept Truex from winning the race..

I wish I was a JGR fan.

It's readily apparent that TRD is a bit more committed to NASCAR success at the moment than GM and Ford. Toyota has made a corporate decision to help JGR succeed and it's paying off.

Long pond callling for rain off and on all night, morning & afternoon, so while leading sometime past the halfway point Truex and most of the field pits, a few cars stay out and just before they run out of gas the rain comes and the race is called...

Its been 4 weeks since July 2nd Daytona when reportedly the symptoms started....Taking this long to go away, damn, that is WORRISOME..No way he comes back for Watkins Glen next week. The chance of him winning there is slim to none anyway, as he is winless in 33 Cup races on road courses. Bye week after Watkins Glen. I'm hoping he's back in 3 weeks at Bristol..I think it comes down to 1 of 5 options for when/if Junior returns:

1. Bristol
2. Michigan/Darlington/Richmond
3. Chase
4. Next season
5. Retires and doesn't race again..

If god forbid it is #5, then I can say I was at his last race at KY. And NASCAR can say hello to races with 30-40k fans..

Chase Elliott ruins a possible win for Logano.

Raced now delayed due to fog. Pocono.

Chris Buescher, of all people, leading. Man, calling the race would be huge for him!

Broken inner liner valve stem causing a flat and Truex to hit the wall after the restart after the lap 15 Competition Caution. Truex was leading coming into the caution and came out 3rd after 2 cars stayed out and probabaly would have shortly been in the lead again..

Major right side damage. Pitted, then another flat. To the garage, came back out 17 laps down, another flat, into wall again. Then done for the day. Finished 38..

They did.

Pocono has always been NASCAR's wtf is going to happen next track. I've seen rabbits, groundhogs, deer, and flocks of birds killed by cars there. Because the track is a triangle, the turns are sharp, especially turn 1 at the end of the longest straight. Dale Earnhardt flipped there in the early 80s. Bobby Allison had his career ended and nearly died in a horrific crash in the late 80s. An Indy driver died there recently. Spectators have been killed by lightning there. Crazy weather. You name it. That place is just weird.

I love this picture of Earnhardt's crash. The crash response teams used to take forever to get to cars back then. He got himself out of this heap. Gas, oil, water everywhere. :notworthy:

"..."Just blew a right front (tire)," Truex said of the first incident. "A lug nut bounced off the ground, fell in behind the wheel behind a pit stop. It's just bad luck honestly. I knew something wasn't right in (Turn) one and two and I got real tight off of (Turn) two on that restart and went down the back and was like, 'Ah, it feels OK.' And, as I got closer to the tunnel turn I felt it start to go down and by the time I let off and tried to slow down it was just going straight for the fence."

Truex came in as the polesitter and was one of the favorites after leading final practice. He was also running the same car that dominated to the tune of leading 392 of 400 laps in the Coca-Cola 600 on Memorial Day weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway....."

So of my 2 favorite drivers for the race Truex (already covered) and Jeff Gordonhardt Jr had terrible luck..After overcoming an early pit road speeding penalty Gordonhardt was running 7th on a later restart when he has a seat belt come loose. He had to drop to the back of the field to get it reconnected, and finished 27th.. :ohno:

I thought they called it because of the fog AND the rain front that was literally about to hit (it started raining a little after they called it..They called it at 4:10. I'm assuming the rain stopped sometime in the evening..3 hrs to try the track...no lights..it was already Monday..
