Re: NFL 2019 Season
Hard to see anything other than that. On the AFC side, there's literally nobody. Patriots basically get to the Super Bowl by default. On the NFC side, maybe the 49'ers make it interesting, but the Saints D is for real and they haven't missed a beat even with Brees on the sideline. He comes back and they're even better. Even if the Saints need to go to San Fran in the playoffs I think they win there, but I think the Saints end up getting homefield advantage. Saints would be a team that could beat the Patriots.93henfan wrote:Can we just go ahead and let the Saints and Patriots play the Super Bowl?

Dolphins work to insure the No. 1 pick in the draft - by running this play to lose the game

That Dolphin guy so properly executed the "make it look like I tried, but really didn't" catch. The Dolphins are good at this tanking thing. I watched the Sixers master it and these guys are pretty good at it.

Shep makes his first big mistake. All up hill now.
So much for that, slips and ball goes to defense for int.

The officiating of this game was so badcss75 wrote:Detroit got hosed.
it would be considered a war crime in 38 countries

other than actually spotting the ball in the endzone for the Packers
I'm not sure what more they could have done to assure the win for Green Bay

It was refreshing to have an announcer (Booger) that critical of the bad calls.Chizzang wrote:The officiating of this game was so badcss75 wrote:Detroit got hosed.

Re: NFL 2019 Season
3 terrible calls and 1 non call
Pass interference not called
Helmet to helmet when DB was clearly going for ball
2 face mask class that Lion player didn’t do
One of the worst officiated games ever

Don't forget they called the Lions (rightfully) for 12 men on the field, but failed to call GB for 13 men on the field the next series.css75 wrote:3 terrible calls and 1 non call

Beautiful. I hope Stan Kroenke offers him a fat long term contract.93henfan wrote:Two firsts and a fourth.

Re: NFL 2019 Season
The Patriots now begin their most difficult stretch of games
where they play back to back teams coming off bye weeks
Week 8 they play the Browns who will have had two weeks to prepare
week 9 they play the Ravens who will have had two weeks to prepare
Then they play the Eagles

Don’t know bout the first 2 but that 3rd one is like another bye.

It's interesting to see a fan of the pathetic Broncos constantly have to comment with envy about the Super Bowl 52 champions. What is it about the Eagles that bothers you so much?css75 wrote:Chizzang wrote:The Patriots now begin their most difficult stretch of games

Nothing, except they win one SB and everyone thinks they are a dynasty, they are not.93henfan wrote:It's interesting to see a fan of the pathetic Broncos constantly have to comment with envy about the Super Bowl 52 champions. What is it about the Eagles that bothers you so much?css75 wrote:

“This is where Joe Flacco, he’s got to be the leader. Heck, he’s been around—Super Bowl winner, he’s in his 12th year. You know, I don’t want to be too hard on Joe, but let’s get a little life out here … Still, very lackadaisical. The whole operation.”Chizzang wrote:Wait..

I called it 15 minutes after they signed him
Joe was a damned good QB when he cared and had the weapons and was in every game
He proved that by having one of the greatest post seasons in NFL history
but - after he won it all and became the highest paid player in the NFL he was set-for-life
at that point... knee surgeries and neck operations seem like a really bad idea
and he checked out - and he's still checked out
Sure if the Bronco's want to give him another $40 mil for a few seasons who's going to say no
But he's not "all in to win" so to speak...

Look at A-Aron in Green Bay
He can smell it... he's fully dialed in now
