Mark Sanchez has made too much money in a very short amount of time for doing relatively nothing...css75 wrote:He could not beat out Osweiller, Semien or Paxton Lynch on the Broncos.89Hen wrote:Skins pick up Mark Sanchez to back up Colt McCoy.

See Matt Flynn
Sanchez has about 25 million in the bank - he's not going to fight

Statistically, they’re two of the worst defenses in the league.GannonFan wrote:MNF between the Chiefs and Rams is looking like a Big 12 game - just zero defense. I've never been a fan of Arena Football. I know these announcers are saying how historically awesome this game is, but it would be nice for the offenses to have to work for something.

While it was a very exciting game, I agree I kept saying to myself this is just another Big 12 game.GannonFan wrote:MNF between the Chiefs and Rams is looking like a Big 12 game - just zero defense. It was fun to watch EWU’s Samson Ebukam flat tear it up. Scoop and 6, pick 6, sack, and deflected pass and QB hurry that caused the last 2 int’s. Bull rush, shucking OT’s...he was a beast last night.

Gannon and Bill just didn't like the reminder of how far and how fast the mighty Eagles have fallen.kalm wrote:Statistically, they’re two of the worst defenses in the league.GannonFan wrote:MNF between the Chiefs and Rams is looking like a Big 12 game - just zero defense. Hey, Philly has had one of the best Arena Football teams around with the Philadelphia Soul (Jaworski is a part-owner). Think they've won a couple of Arena Bowls. I watched all of about 5 minutes combined over the past several years. It's boring football. I can't stand more than 5 or 10 minutes straight of Big 12 football as well for the same reason. If there's no defense then it's just half of a game at best.Grizalltheway wrote:Gannon and Bill just didn't like the reminder of how far and how fast the mighty Eagles have fallen.kalm wrote:

Two of those picks happened on the last two drives when QB's were basically throwing versions of hail mary type passes. DB's otherwise weren't getting very close to the intended targets.Chizzang wrote:Despite the lack of defense... there was an amazing amount of defense
8 sacks
6 tackles for loss
3 interceptions

when it was pretty good the passes were so on point they were still completions

Eh, one game. And it was a Cinderella, backup QB besting the GOAT. I seem to remember the Eagles playing a good amount of defense in the two playoff games that came before that, no?93henfan wrote:Considering the Eagles allowed 613 yards by the Patriots in the Super Bowl in February and the two teams combined for the most yards in a game in any game in the history of the NFL (1,151 yards), I will not be criticizing last night's teams.

Ganny are you trying to reach JSO levels in putting down other teams and rationalizing any similarity to the Eagles?GannonFan wrote:Eh, one game. And it was a Cinderella, backup QB besting the GOAT. Nope, just commenting on one game last night. I don't ever remember comparing it to the Eagles, that came from other posters. Eagles weren't even part of this discussion.UNI88 wrote:Ganny are you trying to reach JSO levels in putting down other teams and rationalizing any similarity to the Eagles?GannonFan wrote:

Just throwing out a theory as to why you can't enjoy the occasional back-and-forth track meet. I guess we'll just have to stick with "old curmudgeon".GannonFan wrote:Nope, just commenting on one game last night. I don't ever remember comparing it to the Eagles, that came from other posters. Like I said, I've never liked Arena football, even back when Matt Nagy (former UD QB, current Bears head coach) was an Arena star, and even when my hometown team is probably at the top of the Arena mountain. This isn't a new dislike. And yes, I can be a curmudgeon. Not 89Hen level curmudgeon, but a curmudgeon nonetheless.Grizalltheway wrote:Just throwing out a theory as to why you can't enjoy the occasional back-and-forth track meet. Another poster did make the initial connection but did you not respond "Eh, one game. And it was a Cinderella, backup QB besting the GOAT. I don't like Arena either, and I wouldn't want all, or even most, NFL games to be like that one. That was a home-job. Not saying that it changed the outcome of the game, but the number of no-calls was ridiculous, starting with the Prop Rule on the first TD.![]()
