Hey, Mr. Sensitive, that wasn't meant as a "shot". It's just that I would expect them to be MORE excited after just having won the first WS in many of those guys' careers....yet they didn't act all that excited.....wierd.
At least it wasn't over the top and had Texiera riding around on the back of a police horse.
They weren't excited because they did what everyone expected them to do.
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."

Way to carry the team to the pennant and into the World Series. Without you, they would not have even made the playoffs.

That is BS, the Yankees were so loaded that they could lose any one of their star players and still make the playoffs.

Also, A-Roid may be the best gay player in baseball, but he's not the best player overall.

Check the record when he did play in pinstripes in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. Good to see him finally show up in year six, after pocketing $150M from Uncle George. He should toss a few million to Matsui.

I'm confused, I though Pujols was the best player in baseball?

Better stats in his first nine years... strikes out less... walks more.... hits for a better avg... etc... etc... etc...

... Not sayin' A-roid is a bad player, he just ain't the best. :twocents:

What was that last night about Matsui? Did they say if the Yankees didn't resign him the only team he would play for is Seattle?

They said they thought it was only appropriate to see him play for the Mariners. Whatever the hell that means.

I hope the Yanks resign him and get rid of Damon. Matsui has a perfect swing for Yankee stadium.

Yeah, he made himself at home last year in Cleveland sporting that Spankees cap. He had two franchises in his home state to pull for and went with the Yanks...c'mon man. Oh well, with his money, who cares? :thumb:

Hysterical...
Agreed - if you have not lived in NY or spent significant time there... and you're a Yankee's fan
By definition you are a Total Douche Bag...

I seriously DO NOT GET the Yankee fanbase that is 65% people who've never lived in NY and have absolutely no connection to that city what-so-ever... I get it if you're a New Yorker or you've spent time there (like lived there) but otherwise it's simply STUPID

My dad's dad moved to NYC, half a mile from Yankee stadium, when he was 4 from Norway. He met my grandmother at a Yankees game. He moved to Montana with her right after they got married. So, my dad grew up an avid fan, and naturally I did as well.

So, am I stupid? :coffee:

We'll never know, but I maintain that over the course of 162 games, the Yankees would have made the playoffs even without A-Roid. He is a great player, one of the best right now, but that team has too much talent - even without him. They might not have won the series without him, but I think they still make the playoffs.
