I was going to ask if you got your tickets free, but this answers it with a big bonus. Very cool.

Actually I am volunteering, one because I want to, but two because we did NOT get free tix this go round. I have to pay $160 for my uniform, but it's better than $325 for the weekly badge.

Older, not better. If I had to put them in order...

US Open > Masters > Open Championship > PGA
And mine would be The Open, U.S. Open, Masters, and PGA.

They're all unique and I enjoy watching them all. But my favorite has always been the British Open. That's the one I look forward to the most. That's the one where Nicklaus, Player, Tommy W, Faldo, and Tiger all dominated at the height of their games. Paul Lawrie winning the playoff at Carnoustie after the Van de Velde meltdown, with the drunken crowd singing in the rain at the end of the day was one of the most underappreciated moments in golf history.

To each his own. :thumb:

I agree on the to each his own, but I'm puzzled by your comment here.

Jack = 6 Masters, 3 Opens
Faldo = 3 Masters, 3 Opens
Tiger = 4 Masters, 3 Opens
Player = 3 Masters, 3 Opens

Watson is the only one on your list that won more Opens than Masters.

Here's one other interesting stat for you. Some people claim the Open is more an international tournament. Since 1990 there have been 11 Open Champions from the US, and 11 Masters Champions from the US. :|

That is interesting.

I must have flip flopped Jack's Opens and Masters record and completely disregarded Player's and Faldo's Masters wins. I also should have included Seve as he and Tom were my two favorite players from the early 80's.
:oops: Hey, I'm now over 40 and forgetful. Or you could chalk it up to EC(of Scotland)B. :mrgreen:

He had 2 Masters and 3 Opens. Not much of a difference. You should have used Norman. Two Opens and the king of the choke at the Masters. :shock:

Meh, I've never noticed trash at any golf event (except some of the fans).
And now I'm calling bullshit on the ESPN guy. I'm watching online and I'm seeing clear cups.

Maybe he was seeing the green grass through the clear cup and thought the cup was green. :lol: :lol:

Another thing the ESPN dude said was that food is dirt cheap. He said you can buy two sammies and two drinks for $5. That one like pure BS, but hey, how many people have ever really been their?

Woods still 3 off the pace.

No Swedish women in sight. Even Finnish skanks have absconded to Atlanta.

My record is intact. So long, muthafukkas!

OOO, Tiger 6 strokes back with one day left!

Looks like no threat with his short game.
