Mason kept the Flyers in the game with a great 2nd period but the King played well enough and only gave up 1 goal to let the Rangers move on.

How dumb is NHL scheduling. Rangers-Pit play Friday, Sunday evening (in Pit), Monday (in NYC). What's with the back to back games including a travel on the back to back day. If they are going to do that which is dumb because they are having Boston/Montreal play on Saturday and then Tuesday, they might as well make the Ranger game the 3:00 game on Sunday.

Probably had to double-up somewhere as MSG is not available May 8, 9, and 13.

That schedule is doing the Penguins all kinds of favors.

I am sure that is the reason but they could have done it. WNBA plays on the 8th at 11 am and Billy Joel concert on the 9th. Does the Billy Joel concert really need a day before to setup (which could be why WNBA is playing a game on a Thursday at 11 am)? Otherwise, Rangers could play an 8:00 game and the Garden could be converted to concert ready overnight. That really puts the Rangers at a disadvantage after having to play back to back Tuesday and Wednesday

Just positing a theory. But I do think that it takes longer these days to "wind-up" Billy J. before a concert. But they could do that back at the hotel. ;)

Great game last night between the Habs and the Bruins. Montreal seems to have Rask's number.

I went to bed after the first overtime so I missed the goal. Thought Les Habitants were going to take it in regulation but they played too much back in the 3rd and one of those shots was bound to get in on Price who played very well.

Sometime you have a chance to overcome bad breaks. And I was surprised to learn that I hate Crosby more than I hate the Rangers. Congrats!

I hate the Rangers. I can't even watch anymore. The only team left I don't hate are the Ducks.

You hate the Kings? They have front-running LA fans who arrive late and leave early, but why the hate?

The Black Hawks have always been my favorite Original Six team. I adopted them when my sister moved to Chicago and became a big fan. So I wasn't all that upset when they beat the Flyers in the finals a few years back. At that point, they hadn't won a Cup since '61.

Leafs are my favorite Original Six, but I do think the Hawks have one of the best unis in all of sports.

Lundqvist was the man last night making some insane saves even without his stick and did the same on Sunday. The team has really battled around St. Louis winning an emotional 3 games right after his mom passed and it was great that he got a goal on that first game back on Mother's Day.

Have always said that a hot goalie can win you the playoffs. Henrik is setting that up as a possibility. Save % in the last 3 games of .972, .973. and .969 where 30+ shots were taken on him is showing that he now sees the puck well. Hope it will last against Montreal or Boston.

Was rooting for Minnesota last night and LA tonight so that all games would go 7 but that is now out.

The Hawks are the second most popular professional team in Chicago. They're more popular than the Bulls, Cubs & White Sox and trail only the Bears.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

It makes me sick to root for French Canadians, but the Habs were Roy's first team. Their unis are pretty sweet, too.

I still have an authentic Jeremy Roenick Hawks jersey. :thumb:

Lundqvist is playing out of his mind, and the Rangers have a Harvard guy (Dominic Moore), but I can't bring myself to root for them. I hate them.

Rangers-Canadiens for the Eastern Conference

3 of 4 teams in the conference finals from the Original 6 (no longer possible to make it 4 of 4 since Chicago is the only original 6 out west now that Detroit is in the East)
