I may be in my mid-40's but I think I have a better arm than Ben Revere....

Philadelphia should never play Toronto again, ever.
Except maybe in hockey.

All we need is for Mr. Lee, Paps, Burnett, and Byrd to stay relatively healthy and continue to produce until July 31st, and we should see a nice return!

Well, I'm pretty sure we'll either not develop the guys we get in return or we'll just screw it up at the start and not even get the right guys to begin with. This is the Phillies we're talking about.Seahawks08 wrote:All we need is for Mr. Lee, Paps, Burnett, and Byrd to stay relatively healthy and continue to produce until July 31st, and we should see a nice return!

How about Papelbon, Diekman & Adams all being "unavailable" yesterday as the pen imploded in the 9th & they fail to sweep the Mutts...

What do Michael Jackson and Cody Asche have in common?
They both wear a glove on one hand for no apparent reason.

It's like watching an auto accident. Grisly, but you can't stop watching.93henfan wrote:Wait. You guys are actually still watching the Phillies?

Don't try to explain it. Sometimes they look like the best team in the majors, while other nights they look like a AAA team.Ivytalk wrote:20 runs in 2 games. WTF?

No-hitter by Josh Beckett at Citizens Bank Park. Lowest point of what promises to be another shitty year. First no-hitter against Phils in Philly since the immortal Bill Stoneman turned the trick for the Expos in 1969.

AAA team showed up today. It's going to be like this all the way to the deadline. Then the only reason to watch will be to see what Franco can do if he's called up.

Walkoff HR for The Big Piece last night!
And Ben "Spaghetti-Arm" Revere went yard for the first time in his career the night before.

Although the phils lost today, paps had another scoreless inning and now has a 1.69 ERA.
He needs to keep this going up until July 31st, where the phils should see a nice piece or two come back in a trade!

Agree but I don't trust Ruin Tomorrow to do anything. I've lost complete faith in the organization. Taking my kids to two pro baseball games this week, a Blue Rocks game and the Orioles. That should tell you something...Seahawks08 wrote:Although the phils lost today, paps had another scoreless inning and now has a 1.69 ERA.He needs to keep this going up until July 31st, where the phils should see a nice piece or two come back in a trade!
