I don't know. It seems that the legal system handcuffs people from making any decisions one way or the other. If they don't let him play, I'm sure the labor union will pitch a fit. Goodell and the Vikes are screwed either way. They are now forced to play judge, jury, AND victim.

Two Old Dominion players were accused of rape a couple of years ago. They immediately got kicked off the team. In the he said-she said battle in court, the two were found not guilty two years later. I guess the video showing the girl hugging them in the lobby before she left the building had something to do with it. The players lost their senior year of football and scholarships.

That case seems to be way different than this case IMO. The pics are pretty damning in the AP case.

There is a huge difference between Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson. Rice's girlfriend could've been seriously hurt hitting her head on the elevator rails or on the ground. It happens with people getting hit unconscious.

I think hitting a child with a switch is going too far, but you don't have that risk with a child getting his or her bottom whacked.

Adrian Peterson has been suspended without pay for at least the remainder of the 2014 season.
