Ooshuizen with birdies on 6 of the last 7. Wow....

Huge double by Spieth on the 17th puts him in a tie with Oostie.

Looks like DJ will get a birdie on 17 to tie them both.

Then Spieth comes back and puts the ball on 18 in 2 (Par 5) for a makeable Eagle which should put Oostie out and only DJ will have a chance at this point.

Final choke goes to DJ as he 3 putts the final hole to give Spieth his 2nd major of the year.

Rory may be #1 in the world, but there's no doubt who's playing the best golf in the world right now.

Welcome to golf!
I have seen Shinnecock in person, never played it though. This course has far more BS going on. The greens at Shinnecock are far better both visually and for playing on it.
Love the look and feel of the course and it makes me want to go out and play. Golf ain't a game of perfect and the courses don't need to be except perhaps for certain mamby pamby "parkland golf" EC(b) fanboys such as yourself.

No shit. If tennis can be played on court, grass and clay, I think pro golfers should be able to handle Chambers Bay.

I don't care about the look, but when you see putts bump and bounce... that's not good. My biggest problem is that golf is a game of inches, but usually those inches are inches. 2" difference on this putt putt course can be 40 yards of roll into a bunker. I can't count how many times I watched two shots that looked almost identical end up in completely different places and conditions just because they were a couple inches different. No thanks. When the course is green, my guess is that it's not so bad.

Spieth did a masterful job deflecting about the course when asked:

(Paraphrasing) Now I see why NFL teams don't like playing the Seahawks. These fans are great!

Hey Jordan, they asked about the shitty course, not the obnoxious fans.

I saw that and was extremely impressed with the answer. You cannot rip the course at that moment so he answered it perfectly. Not sure if he was warned ahead of time that the question was going to be asked on the green at the awards ceremony but he must have been extremely prepared for the question since he rattled it off pretty quickly.

Eh, the course overall was great - great layout, nice views, and of course, primetime golf viewing in the East. All that being said, the green were god awful. You expect putts to bounce all over the place on a roadside chip and putt course, but you never see that in major golf competition. Fix the greens and the place was great.

I disagree. It's fine when balls trickle here and there because it's fast and tight, but it honestly reminded me of a crappy putt putt course where the concrete under the fake grass is uneven and the ball rolls around like it's in a vortex until it finally settles in the low spot. :tothehand: We already have the British Open, we don't need another one.

After first noticing the toe there and the nice rack, I couldn't help but notice she has daddy's number tatted on her front bikini line. That's a bit weird, IMHO.

Have you ever golfed in Colorado or on the west coast? Poa is a weed on the east coast. It is the entire green on the west coast. It is bumpy as hell, hard to read, and looks like shit, especially when you don't water it. It is extremely unpleasant to putt on compared to the perfect bent grass greens of the EC(b). Torrey Pines looks decent on TV because they take care of it. Those are all Poa greens. Chambers Bay was set up for failure by not watering it.

Real golf is on the west coast. If you want easy greens, try putt-putt :thumb:
