At the half-way mark

AFC - 5 of 6 teams I picked would make the play-offs (switch KC for the J-E-T-S)

NFC - 4 of 6 teams. Dallas is way off, and Seattle is 2 games back. Minnesota is in, as in ATL right now.

As a longtime Redskins fan I would suggest that you not be so optimistic. With Dan Snyder at the helm they may find a way to lose on their bye week.

We decided to leave Twin Peaks at halftime for the Panthers/Falcons game Sunday. A couple of dick Pats fans were at the other end of our "friendship table" saying "woot! woot! All aboard the Panthers bandwagon." I knew what could happen:

My wife says something to the douchebag.
He gets mouthy and says something back.
I have to defend her honor.
He gets mouthy with me.
I punch him off his barstool.
I go to jail and miss some valuable vacation time.

It's just easier to walk away before you're forced into action sometimes.
