I just heard Clenz scream.

Before the kick, I was like "Don't pull an Idaho State!"
They pulled an Idaho State.
They pulled an Idaho State.
Re: NFL Playoffs... Round One
And Walsh is one of the best kickers in the game. Ouch.

Re: NFL Playoffs... Round One
Great weekend of football. I didn't post it, but I had Chiefs and Steelers. Everyone knew the Bungles would bungle....although what happened Saturday night was a bungle of epic proportions. Chiefs were coming in hot and got some injured guys back so that result was not surprising.
I had the Vikes and Skins. Figured the Vikes would handle the cold weather better, and then Beastmode was out so I figured I had that pick nailed. But the Vikes couldn't put the game away and we all knew the Seahawks had the game once Russell pulled out that magical fumble snap play to set up a TD. Then Peterson with his expected fumble topped off with a hilarious chip shot FG fail.
Good game to watch.
Skins game started out looking promising. They were rolling GB and Rodgers wasn't doing shit. Then Jackson's laziness cost DC a TD and the Packer D came out with a huge goal line stop and you could see the momentum shift. Then Rodgers went to work and the game was over at half time. Amazing what Rodgers did considering they had a reserve guard/center making his first start at LT. Pretty embarrassing for the Skins when you think about how badly they were abused by a rag tag OL.
I hope next weeks games are just as entertaining.

Oh, it's going to be a glorious day back in the office today. I may lose my voice from pointing at Skins fans and saying, "YOU LIKE THAT."

Skins fans might be able to take long-term consolation though if the Eagles end up hiring Coughlin, cuz they'll know that based on Coughlin's most recent track record the Eagles will only make the playoffs once in seven years.93henfan wrote:

I paid close attention to the Vikings pre-season. Walsh was absolutely terrible going 5 /11 in FG's. He deserved to be cut, but the Vikings stuck with him and he kicked better during the regular season going 34/39. But he failed them when they needed him most.∞∞∞ wrote:And Walsh is one of the best kickers in the game. Ouch.

Walsh has been one of the best since he came into the league. One of the 3 strongest legs in the league. Signed a big deal during the off seasonCAA Flagship wrote:I paid close attention to the Vikings pre-season. Walsh was absolutely terrible going 5 /11 in FG's. Was real bad preseason. The change in PAT distance really, really, screwed with him. He missed a few and got a bad case of the yips.
Zim stuck with him and he worked through it. Made multiple game winners this year. Without those the Vikings aren't even in the playoffs.
I just feel sick....especially for Blair. He's going to take all the heat but he put all the points on the board and it's not his fault the defense didn't stop Seattle late. It's not the defenses fault AP can't hold onto the ball. It's not APs fault the offensive line was patchwork all season long and struggled to give Teddy time
Blair deserves better than the shit he's taking from the fanbase right now
