Great use of examples. :thumb:

Tell me, when Brett Favre ran around the field signaling touchdown every time he threw one, was he being a prick?

John, you underestimate people's IQ all the time, for instance, you once posted that G.W.Bush was probably smarter than me, that would make him twice as smart as you, so you must get my drift.

I don't care for CN either, it dates back to his Richard Williams type father who tried to auction him off during the college recruitment period.

However, he is obviously smarter than George W. Bush, so where does that put you?

Kind of like that old Caddyshack remark, "How do you compare yourself to other golfers?" answer was, "by height."

Cam is taller than you, and so am I.
That just makes you a bigger prick than JSO. :thumb:

Cam Newton really seems to enjoy the game. It's meant to be fun as well as "work." And he happens to be a gifted athlete who has improved every season. Good to see the Panthers in the SB, and, as an NFC guy, I hope they win it. :twocents:

You think Cam is the first person to celebrate? That's precious. If you're focusing on that part of the game, you are watching football for the wrong reasons.

I wish more players would celebrate like Cam. It makes the GAME more fun to watch.
Honestly, I think all forms of celebrating, taunting, bragging, etc. should be totally legal in sports. If the other players don't like it....then don't give them reason to do it.

I have no problem with teammates celebrating together in excitement over a play. I have a problem with a guy scoring easily from one yard out and self-celebrating. It's a team game. There is no "B" in team.

I disagree only because it seems much of his celebration is scripted.

This whole race card thing is ridiculous. Didn't people crush and mock Tim Tebow for his "exuberance"? One of the most exuberant celebrators in sport is Ovechkin. He goes absolutely bananas every time he scores (which is a hell of a lot more times than Cam). Most everyone loves it. But the day he got his 50th goal for the third time, he did a pre-planned routine and he got blasted for it, hasn't done anything like that since.

We have shitty bread. It's a non-starter for me. The chains here are consistent, and edible. But the deli's suck.
Pizza? I tired of complaining about it. Too depressing.

Hey, can you get a pre-made buttered roll (grab and go) in your convenience stores there in the morning?

I don't know exactly what I said with respect to your IQ vs. GW Bush's but I'm sure it had to do with the idea that if you know nothing else about a person you'd do well to bet that that their IQ is lower than GW Bush's. That's because based on GW Bush's known SAT score you'd estimate, based on the table at http://www.iqcomparisonsite.com/Pre1974SAT.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, that Bush's IQ is between 129 and 130. 129 would put him at the 97th percentile of the general population. Obviously if someone is around that level and you bet that they have a higher IQ than any particular individual you know nothing about you're going to be right most of the time.

With Cam Newton, sorry, but he's a high caliber athlete and he is Black. That brings in all sorts of considerations. One of them is that there is a possibility that he would never have been in college if he weren't a high caliber athlete. If you just take into the account the fact that he is Black the chances that a randomly selected Black has an IQ of 100 or higher is about 0.16. If you say you're going to randomly select a Black and bet that it's going to be someone with an IQ less than 100 you have about an 84% chance of being right.

I'm sure that changes some for Blacks that are NOT elite athletes and go to college. But when it comes to elite athletes all KINDS of accommodations are made to get them in.

Sorry. But it is what it is. There is absolutely no reason to believe that Cam Newton is particularly intelligent.

And he's a prick.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

John, do you realize you are from one of the dumbest states in America? Don't judge people from other parts of the country based on what you have seen from your neighbors.
