17 year old Red Gerard got us the first gold. Steroid users from Russia don't have any golds yet.Ivytalk wrote:Do we have any goddam golds yet?

And ate some serious shit.Ibanez wrote:The wife and I watched some last night. The figure skating was kinda incredible - however I must not understand how 3 skaters can have near flawless routines and STILL not get more points than a Russian that was falling and stumbling.![]()
The snowboarding has been fun to watch - those girls last night got some serious air.
Yeah - i think most fell on their ass on that last jump.Grizalltheway wrote:And ate some serious shit.Ibanez wrote:The wife and I watched some last night. If you use the NBC Sports app + Chromecast (or Roku probably) they have live streams dedicated to individual events.GannonFan wrote:Curling was good last night - anytime Canada is on then it's almost must-watch tv. Shame that NBC broke away from the semifinal with 3 of the 8 ends still to play and with the issue in doubt. NBC has never been good at showing the Olympics, especially when the time zones are far apart.
I have a Firestick and DirecTV Now - there's only 2 channels. You think broadcasters would figure out how to show the most events it could. IIRC, during the London Games, there was an app on Roku that allowed for that.Grizalltheway wrote:If you use the NBC Sports app + Chromecast (or Roku probably) they have live streams dedicated to individual events.GannonFan wrote:Curling was good last night - anytime Canada is on then it's almost must-watch tv. That chick from Kazakhstan got screwed. The front flip should have won her the gold. I think they vote a little based on hotness.Ibanez wrote:The snowboarding has been fun to watch - those girls last night got some serious air.

We get it...you're in Asia.CID1990 wrote:I watch the sh1t daily because I am in a close time zone
But I have to watch on Korean TV because Thailand doesn’t give 2 fvcks about no Winter Olympics

I was actually pointing out that Thailand doesn’t do winter sportsIbanez wrote:We get it...you're in Asia.CID1990 wrote:I watch the sh1t daily because I am in a close time zone

You have a daughter so you get a pass for the thinking figure skating is a sport....Ibanez wrote:The wife and I watched some last night. There was, and still is now.Ibanez wrote:I have a Firestick and DirecTV Now - there's only 2 channels. You think broadcasters would figure out how to show the most events it could. There's actually an Olympics channel which doesn't show any of the events (how stupid is that?).
I'll have to see if there's on on Firestick.Grizalltheway wrote:There was, and still is now.Ibanez wrote: I have a Firestick and DirecTV Now - there's only 2 channels. Mixed doubles curling is awesome - the Canadian chick is pretty cute. Although I was waiting for her partner to absolutely rip her a new one for botching shot after shot (to be fair she did nail the last shot before NBC lost interest and cut away)...GannonFan wrote:Curling was good last night - anytime Canada is on then it's almost must-watch tv. The Canadian guy is a legend, he was vice-skip on the Gold medal team in 2010. He had some shots last night, especially when he delivers it with a lot of speed and tries to knock out multiple stones, that were awesome. To her defense, she comes from a whole slew of winning teams as well. She was just having a bad day until end 5. And yes, then NBC lost interest and stopped showing what was still a great match.Rob Iola wrote:Mixed doubles curling is awesome - the Canadian chick is pretty cute. The fact you know all that curling terminology is a bit...GannonFan wrote:The Canadian guy is a legend, he was vice-skip on the Gold medal team in 2010. There's nothing nerdy about curling - you need to be asking yourself why you don't know more about curling.CID1990 wrote:The fact you know all that curling terminology is a bit...GannonFan wrote:

I don't know more about curling for the same reason I don't know more about NASCAR and bowlingGannonFan wrote:There's nothing nerdy about curling - you need to be asking yourself why you don't know more about curling.CID1990 wrote:

Biathlon would be so much better if they cut out the skiing.AZGrizFan wrote:Watching this biathlon is amazing. Dude from France skies his ass off, then drops 5/5 targets in about 10 seconds. And he’s about 35 seconds ahead of the rest of the field....
