Former Soviet Socialist Republic Belarus tried to forcibly remove a sprinter with an excuse similar to Simone Biles (who was categorically NOT removed by USA Gymnastics after her well-publicized case of the "twisties"). That was to cover up the fact that they were trying to silence her for speaking out on social media against Belarus' so-called "President," Alexander Lukashenko, who is behaving like old-school Soviet General Secretaries and is acknowledged throughout Eurasia as the "last of the dictators," and was prevented from attending the Olympics for that reason by the IOC. The IOC has brokered a humanitarian visa for her from the Polish government, which has offered her the opportunity to join Team Poland for competition. Before this happened, Krystsina Tsimanouskaya was scheduled to compete in the 220 on Monday and the mile relay on Thursday.

This is on the heels of Belarus intercepting a passenger jet bound from Athens to Vilnius with a fighter on Lukashenko's orders in order to remove a journalist who was allegedly facing the death penalty.

Actually most of the athletes feel this way. What have we had a handful of protest compared to all the athletes that are at the games in Tokyo. Nearly every even, the USA participants will drape themselves in a flag. Protest are way over-hyped the news media, including fox and cnn.
