You'd hate any Series with blacks in it, Mr. Nathan Bedford Forrest.CitadelGrad wrote:God forbid that there is a Halloween Series with the orange and black Giants and Orioles.

If that is a reference to my avatar, you have the wrong guy. My avatar is Citadel graduate, Major General Micah Jenkins who gave his life for the Glorious Confederacy at the Battle of the Wilderness.Ivytalk wrote:You'd hate any Series with blacks in it, Mr. Nathan Bedford Forrest.CitadelGrad wrote:God forbid that there is a Halloween Series with the orange and black Giants and Orioles.
Nathan Bedford Forrest was not a racist. You should read up a bit on the early days of the KKK, a civil rights organization.

I was not referring to your avatar, but to your history of edgy racial posts. I know a bit about the KKK, and about Fort Pillow, too. But I'll credit Forrest's skills as a military tactician.CitadelGrad wrote:If that is a reference to my avatar, you have the wrong guy. And NBF started a white supremacy group which terrorized blacks. That's the dictionary example of racist. Call it what you want but terrorizing and killing blacks is pretty racist.

NBF left the KKK because they started terrorizing the negro. The KKK was originally founded to terrorize carpetbaggers and Republicans.Ibanez wrote:He's talking about you being a racistCitadelGrad wrote:

With what that beleaguered franchise has gone through in the past 25 years I believe I'll be pulling for the Royals to win it.Gil Dobie wrote:Gotta support the AL Central.

Yes, because the Orioles have it easy being in the same division as the Yanks and RedSox.AZGrizFan wrote:With what that beleaguered franchise has gone through in the past 25 years I believe I'll be pulling for the Royals to win it.Gil Dobie wrote:Gotta support the AL Central.
Anyway, should be a good series. O's have their work cut out now.

Only AL division with 1 playoff team this year, 3 from the West and 2 from the Central. Cleveland and Seattle also finished above the #2 in the LEast. This ain't your dad's AL East.93henfan wrote: Yes, because the Orioles have it easy being in the same division as the Yanks and RedSox.

Re: 2014 MLB Post Season Thread
I was responding to the comment that the Royals have had a beleaguered 25 years. So 25 years was the frame of reference, not 2014. So yes, the Orioles have had a much tougher road to hoe, facing the top two payrolls for many of those 25 years. That's all.Gil Dobie wrote:Only AL division with 1 playoff team this year, 3 from the West and 2 from the Central. Cleveland and Seattle also finished above the #2 in the LEast. That's why I said, this ain't your dad's AL East. Tampa's mighty salary has made a difference too.93henfan wrote:I was responding to the comment that the Royals have had a beleaguered 25 years. This. Barring a miraculous O's comeback, go Royals. Many started as Wilmington (DE) Blue Rocks.bandl wrote:KC certainly seems like a team of destiny right now. They are playing some great baseball.Ivytalk wrote:Royals up 3-0 now.Wild card karma continues.

Awesome. TBS throws it down to the field for the trophy presentation and the stadium PA is playing Rock You Like A Hurricane and the lyric "The bitch is hungry. She needs to tell. So give her inches and feed her well."
