I was responding to the comment that the Royals have had a beleaguered 25 years. So 25 years was the frame of reference, not 2014. So yes, the Orioles have had a much tougher road to hoe, facing the top two payrolls for many of those 25 years. That's all.

That's why I said, this ain't your dad's AL East. Tampa's mighty salary has made a difference too.
